I know it would actually be Sam's turn at this point, but I decided to split the chapter up because I think it'll be funnier with both of their impressions. Have fun while reading.

>Penny's POV<

Not only had I overslept my morning jog, but I had slept so long that we had a pretty stressful morning. But it had been so cozy in Sam's arms, especially since we didn't go to bed until after midnight because we still had to clean the kitchen.

Sam had quickly dressed and done a fast wash in the bathroom. Then, in order not to blow our cover, he drove up in his car because he had to stop by home first to get a clean shirt. But he mumbled something under his breath as he went out that he would definitely bring some clothes with him later. Apparently Radar's attack with the eggs and the fact that he had to put a shirt back on this morning with a dried egg on the shoulder were enough to convince him that it was always good to be prepared for anything.

There's something fishy about today and the children also caused quite a stir with their latest idea of running their own radio station. It wasn't enough that they talked about a huge traffic jam in the center of Pantypandy and drove everyone crazy, Norman also wanted to make a tornado report and started a fire in an argument with Mandy over the microphone before she was able to report about the scented candle of her mother. It's a shame, I would have liked to know what the new variety Helen bought smelled like. I couldn't smell it myself because I went into the house wearing breathing apparatus to put out the fire.

I was the first one back home in the late afternoon. Sam arrived half an hour later and actually had a bag in each hand and in one also a huge bag with the cardboard roll from the trunk peeking out, which looked to me a lot like the one he said he had gotten for Bronwyn for Christmas - in October! The size of the bag told me that the picture frame was probably hidden in there too, but I didn't say anything about it. I was far too excited to see what Sam was up to - especially when there was a quiet knock upstairs, even though he had actually just wanted to change. However, I immediately drowned out the knocking by getting the dishes out of the cupboard very loudly and setting them on the table. I didn't want to show Sam that I already suspected something and perhaps take away his anticipation.

As I wanted to take a quick shower, I spotted the two bags in the hallway on Sam's side of the bed. My heart began to beat excitedly at this thought. It was amazing how quickly you could get used to him being here. How quickly it came naturally and how happy I was to share everything with him. I was just about to go into the bedroom when Sam called loudly for me and then leaned in the middle of the doorway - quite obviously to block my way.

"What are you planning to do?" he asked me almost panicked, but I couldn't help but grin. He tried so hard to appear calm.

"Didn't I say I wanted to take a shower? I need something to wear afterwards or should I walk around naked?" I replied and tried to slip past him into the bedroom, but he immediately grabbed me and pulled me to him.

"I certainly wouldn't complain!" he said with a grin and wiggled his eyebrows. I couldn't help but laugh, even though I didn't like Sam being a macho.

"But my family would definitely do that, not to mention what all our friends would think of me."

"This is your home. You can do whatever you want here."

"What's wrong, Sam? Did you do something? Did more skirting boards come off when you were trying to fix that one?" I used the excuse he'd just given to annoy him.

"Everything's perfect. I just don't want you to go into the bedroom. I'd like to save the surprise until we're alone."

"We're alone now too."
