AUTHOR's NOTE: I felt so inspired by Mozart's "Wiegenlied", that I wrote lyrics to its lovely tune.

Sleepy eyes, bright and small,

Yawns like doves, they flutter fall.

Moonlight beams on tiny toes,

Whispers soft, "The day now goes."

Stars peek in, a gentle gleam,

Crickets sing a sleepy dream.

Mother's arms, a cozy nest,

Rocking slow, you're safe and blessed.

Sleepy eyes, stars so bright,

Moonbeams dance in silver light.

Little one, don't you cry,

Close your eyes, lullaby.

Close your eyes, my precious dove,

Dream of flowers and love.

Sleepy smiles, gentle sighs,

Peaceful dreams beneath the skies.
