*** Sruthi ***

"Nandu ji," I don't know why I called him that but it immediately changed the atmosphere and calmed him down.....almost like magic.

"Oh Ms. Sruthi you learned this from Naina, didn't you?" Veer said excitedly, "because she also....." he paused when I looked at him in shock.

'.....calls me Veeru....' had Veer completed his sentence, that would've been the death of him.

"Ms. Naina, I apologize," Veer corrected, "she also calls the general Nandu bhaiyya."

Veer is somehow stupid enough to get himself in trouble but also spontaneous enough to bring himself out....unlike Pallu and I who are just stupid....or maybe it's just me....Pallu atleast has BAHH

"But obviously, sir," he said turning towards the general, "You can be bhaiyya for everyone else, but for Sruthi it's only Nandu ji, isn't it?"

"Veer," Kanda warned.

"Because she's a friend of course," Veer immediately completed and meanwhile the bell rang once again signalling that the next game is about to start.

"All the best," Kanda wished the both of us.

"And Sruthi," he said turing towards me, "there is something I need to tell you after the chess championship."

Is he going to officially confess his love?

*** Nanda***

"So the happiness of qualifying for the first round did not even last for a couple of hours," Sruthi said sadly as she rested her chin on her hand.

"Consider yourself lucky that it's me,"  I replied, "Had it been the King it would've been a way trip to hell."

"I second that," the Queen who joined Sruthi for moral support added, "Adi as an investigation officer is a nightmare."

"I am already stressed abut tomorrow Nandu bhaiyya," she added turning towards me.

"Don't worry, your highness. I'll handle it," I said before turning to Sruthi.

"Back to you," I said, "Why the hell were you and Pallu in the King's private chamber yesterday?"

"Pallu's never been there before..." Sruthi replied hesitantly, "So...."

"Are you serious Gati?" I asked annoyed, "Pallu said she hasn't been there and you decided to just take her there."

"No Kanda, not at all," Sruthi immediately replied, "I wanted to stop her!"

"Let's be real, Gati," I said rolling my eyes, "When have you ever been successful in stopping her."

"Watch your words Kanda!" Gati said angrily pointing a finger at me.

"Oh right," I said sarcastically, "You are the one who messed up and I should be watching my words."

"Kanda you said you'll help me....." Sruthi whined.

"That's what they always say," the Queen commented and I looked at her offended.

"That was for Adi, Nandu bhaiyya, not you," the Queen added and I turned back to Gati.
