Leo stared at the key.

"It's the only way to stop the Krang!"

Casey words rang out in his head.

Raph had just put their Dad in his escape pod as Leos escape pod was closing.

It was now or never.

Leo pressed the button in the center of his chest and ran.

"LEO" Raph's yell was cut off as his escape pod cared him away.

He sprinted to the key, the Krang on his heels.

Literally.

The Kraang's sister grabbed his ankle and yanked Leo back as soon as he got his hand on the key.

Removing it from its place the portal closing.

Leo smiled to himself-

until the Kraang shot its leg at him. Leo clamped his eyes shut before a sound pierced the heavy air.

Like a bone had split in two.

Then a heavy silence filled the room and he heard some pebbles fall. Slowly he opened his eyes.

He wish he hadn't.

Mikey his little brother was standing over him a spike pierced the left corner of Mikey's shell/plastron.

That was not the sound of small rooks falling it had been his little brother's shell.

Mikey's breath was stranded.

"Mikey-?" Leo whispered.

"h-hey Leon" Mikey said before flashing Leo the brightest grin and thrusted his hand to Leo's chest.

Mikey was holding his escape pod.

"NO, NO MIKEY!!" Leo screamed as the escape pod shut him in and blasted him out of the green house.

His fist still banging on the titanium pod.

Mikey thought being straggled by the Krangs maniac sister was not the best situation for him to be in.

He watched at his escape pod came for him.

Until it was knocked off course by one of the Kraangs tentacles.

'Crap'

The small rectangle bounced off to the side.

"Well looks like you-" sister Krang started.

"LEO"

The Krangs head wiped around so see want was the commotion.

Her grip on Mikey's neck loosening.

Mikey tried to wiggled out of the Kraangs grasp, only to be let go and forgotten about as she started chasing something.

Mikey quickly rolled over and grabbed the small rectangle ready to press it to his chest and escape.

"LEO" what had Raph been yelling abu-

Then he saw Leo sprinting across the green house strait for the key.

Leo wasn't going to make it before the Kraang got him.

That thought settled in Mikey's mind.

Leo wasn't going to make it.

Unless.....?

Mikey jumped up ignoring his instinct to freeze.

Leo was in his sights.

It all went so fast.

He slipped in front of Leo then he was blinded with white searing pain.

Mikey forced open his eyes.

He had to see if Leo was ok.

Mikey stared at Leo and he stared back.

Leo had said something but Mikey could barely hear anything over the ringing in his ears.

"h-hey Leon" Mikey said. it hurt to talk.

Why did it hurt to talk?

Leo looked terrified.

Mikey wanted to tell him it was going to be ok that they would all be ok.

All he could do was grin before he gave Leo his pod and then promptly passed out.
