After an amazing love making session last night, into early this morning

After an amazing love making session last night, into early this morning. Keith and I lay in bed, wrapped up in each other. The silence hung heavy, and I sensed there was an unspoken question.

"Babe, you wanna talk about it?" I asked, sitting up and looking at him, but he avoided meeting my eyes.

With his hands folded and his gaze fixed ahead, he finally asked, "Was it Quincy?"

Remembering the time Keith put his hands on me, I hesitated but knew honesty was necessary to move forward. Taking a deep breath, I admitted, "Yes."

We sat there in silence, but his body language spoke louder than words. Tension filled the air, his fists clenched, and I could feel the weight of my confession settling in.

"Keith, I'm so sorry." Tears streamed down my face, and he hastily leaped out of bed.

"ENOUGH OF THE FUCKIN' TEARS! YOU'RE ALWAYS FUCKIN' SORRY!"

"Keith, please calm down and talk to me!!!! QUIT YELLING!" I screamed while still seated on my bed.

His breathing was erratic. "I wanna know everything. When, where, how long...EVERYTHING!"

I confessed, laying it all out. I told him about the condom he found, explaining it was from when Quincy was over. I even spilled the truth about the night Keith called me, and Quincy was in the bed with me.

"Why the FUCK would you do it in our house?! Let alone in our bed?!"

Fed up with his yelling, I gave it right back. "BECAUSE YOU CHEATED FIRST! Me being with Quincy was YOUR fault! You led me right into his arms. You cheated on me for months, and now you're pissed because I did the same?!"

"NO, RYAN! IT'S THE FACT THAT YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH THE NIGGA!" He screamed back.

"Keith, what?" I asked, silently reminding myself that there was no reason to lie. Still, the conversation I wanted to avoid loomed, knowing it could push him over the edge.

"Don't lie to me. Your performance to Mariah Carey, you were talking about having one more night with Quincy, weren't you?"

I wasn't ready to confess.

"What did the words say? You'd risk your life, huh?" He asked menacingly, slowly advancing towards me.

"Keith! STOP! You promised you wouldn't put your hands on me again!"

"You also promised me you would be honest with me."

"I AM BEING HONEST!" We were face to face at this point.

"You weren't even gonna tell me it was with him, were you? That day at Roscoe's when I saw all of y'all, I asked him if he was fuckin' you, and you said no."

"No, Keith, I didn't say anything. Neither me nor Quincy answered the question."

We stood there in silence, and suddenly, he landed a punch on my face so hard that my jaw felt like it could break.

"WHAT THE FUCK, KEITH?!!" I screamed, a mixture of anger and sadness surging through me.

"FUCK YOU, RYAN!" He yelled, and I held my face, tears streaming down.

He roughly grabbed me by my hair, turning me against the wall. What he did next left me in shock – my husband, the love of my life, was violating me.

"Keith... please... stop." There was no pleasure; it was pure pain. He was hurting me, tarnishing our marriage in a way I couldn't even fathom. All because I chose to tell him the truth.

After that awful moment, he made me take a shower with him. I resisted; all I wanted was Quincy, who would never treat me like this even in anger. I missed him – his comfort, his understanding.

When we took our vows, Keith promised to protect me, never hurt me. Yet, here he was, doing the opposite. The betrayal hurt deeply. I thought about confiding in my family, friends, and especially Quincy, but I knew if I told Quincy, he'd likely confront Keith, maybe even kill him.

Telling Keith's family crossed my mind, but they saw him through rose-colored glasses. In their eyes, he could do no wrong. Fearing the potential fallout, I decided to keep it to myself.

For the next few days, which felt like endless weeks, I was stuck at home. Keith wouldn't let me do much, but he gave me just enough normalcy to avoid raising suspicions. The isolation weighed on me, navigating a silent struggle behind a facade of false normality.

The isolation weighed on me, navigating a silent struggle behind a facade of false normality
