We're four months into the new year, and honestly, life's looking better than ever. Ryan and Kali are back living with me, and our relationship is the strongest it's ever been. When Ryan told me she was pregnant again, it forced us to sit down and have a real, raw conversation—about everything. That included how her lie about Keith made me feel, something I'd been carrying around for a while. We aired it all out because I refused to build our marriage on anything fake. I wanted real. I wanted her, fully.
She just found out her new movie, The Fire Inside, is dropping next year. She worked her ass off on that, and I couldn't be more proud. On top of that, my clothing line is thriving—we're finally in department stores. It's surreal.
Kali's turning one in two days, and I can't wrap my head around it. Feels like just yesterday Ryan was in the delivery room, and now we're having her party today while expecting twin boys. Man, life's wild. Ryan says these twins are it, that we're done after this, but I don't know... I'm thinking we can sneak one more in there. Just one more.
But today's got me thinking about Kasin. It's his birthday. I still miss him, man. Some days, it hits harder than others, but I can't open that door again—not right now.
And oh, we got married. Quietly. January 8, on Ryan's birthday. Life's too short, so I made her my wife without all the big show. Our family and close friends know, but the public? Nah, they'll find out when we're ready.
This morning, I woke up before her. She was lying there, knocked out, looking so peaceful. I couldn't resist pulling her closer and kissing the back of her neck, soft at first, but she didn't budge. So, I took it up a notch, nibbling and sucking on her neck until she stirred, turning over with that sexy little smirk before her tongue met mine.
"Mmm... good morning," I said, laughing as she pulled back.
"Good morning," she said, her voice soft and sleepy. "Why you trying to wake me up?"
I grinned, "Just to let you know I'm about to head out to get everything ready for Kali's party. The decorators should be here in about twenty."
She stretched, her hair a little messy, but it only made her look better. "Okay, I'll get up, get dressed, and get Kali ready," she said, leaning in to kiss me one more time before sliding out of bed.
"I'll be back in a little while. I love you," I said, watching her as she moved around the room choosing an outfit. Man, this is the life I prayed for.
"I love you too," she said lightly kissing me before heading into the bathroom.
