My alarm went on at exactly 5:00 am and if I have a baseball bat beside me right now, I swear I would have destroyed it with one pitch.I groaned as I realize it's the first day of school and school starts at 7.
''Why can't it be vacation everyday?!'' I whined in my pillow.
I stood up and stretched then went to do my morning rituals.
I trudged directly to the kitchen and saw my mom talking to Virgo.
She noticed I just woke up and I walked slowly to her then kissed her cheeks good morning.
''Good morning, Lucy'' my mom greeted happily.
''G'morning mom. You're as cheerful as ever?'' I greeted back questioningly.
''Well... Dad called and wanting to say Hi!'' she said fangirling while drinking a cup of tea with Virgo.
''I see... That's why you're acting weird.'' I chucked softly looking at my lovesick mother.
''Mou...'' she pouted. My mom is adorable at times.
I came up to her and wrapped my arms around her then she hugged me back.
''Well... Send my regards to him as well! I'm off to school!'' I say as I took a bread and walked to school.
I still do have 45 minutes for school to start.
I decided to crash the McGarden's for a while and walk with my best friend to school.
It only takes 10 minutes from their house to reach our school.
Magnolia Academy.
I texted her to let her know I'm on my way.
I rang the bell once and stood in front of the McGarden's house.
It's such a comfy house they have. It's so modern. It has 3 floors and wide parking area for their luxurious cars.
Our house is the normal black and white Japanese-styled home. It has 5 rooms. My mom and dad's room, my room, a guest room plus the last 2 rooms were for Virgo and Capricorn. It just has one floor with a wide Zen garden.
We're living a normal life. Me and my mom. My dad's all the way to the other side of the world.
Dad's workaholic but he made sure he has enough time to contact us to see how we're doing.
He sends us just the right amount of money to cover for our financial needs.
I love my family though. Even if we're not together. We have a strong bond and communication with each other.
Dad made sure that we live comfortably despite being away from us. He sent Virgo and Capricorn to make sure we are taken care of properly.
"...cy?"
"...Lucy-chan?" Levy-chan shouted in my ears and it snapped me back to reality.
"Huh? What?" I muttered softly.
"I've been calling you for what seems to be forever!" she hmphed and crossed her arms. Pretending to be angry.
Levy McGarden. My best friend ever since arriving in Japan three years ago.
She's a nerd and aspiring to be a fashion designer someday.
I'm seriously proud of her.
Nobody dares bully her since her family is ranked as the 4th richest family in Japan.
"Oh... Sorry.'' I sighed softly.
She turned around peeked with one eye to look at me and smiled widely then tackled me.
"It's been so long since I last saw you! I missed you!" she hugged and rubbed her cheeks on mine several times till she's satisfied.
"Well, it's not my fault you suddenly flew off on a vacation to New York." I say lifelessly.
"What? Mom decided that on her own! She just took me as an extra baggage!" she exclaimed.
I chuckled softly and we walked together hand in hand to school.
She suddenly stopped and made me look at her briefly.
She eyed me from head to toe.
"I can see that you haven't changed your style at all, have you?" Levy-chan sighed.
Of course.
This again.
She eyes my outfit which consist of my thick glasses, loose black shirt, baggy gray pants and messy bun.
"I just don't want to and it's the first day of school." I say monotonously.
"Anyways, tomorrow we will be wearing our uniform to school. Can you just turn a blind eye on this one? Let me enjoy this day in silence and comfort, please?" I pleaded.
"C-Come on! J-Just look at you! Y-You look... Y-You look... For the lack of better word... Terrible!" she cries in front of me dramatically.
"Nope." Popping the 'p' and walked away.
I looked at her direction slightly and saw her stomp her feet like a little kid on the ground.
She looks at me then ran towards me and I just mentally smiled at her action.
"What's wrong with my outfit? I've been wearing this kind of clothing since freshman year." I questioned her with one brow raised.
"Exactly my point!" she annoyingly squealed.
"Please Levy-chan not today." I coldly stated.
"Hmph, Now it's hard for me to really believe that you're a niece of a popular idol." she murmured.
I shrug.
"She's adorable! She knows how to dress herself nicely!" she stated dreamily.
"She works hard for herself even though she's rich and she's really graceful!" she added.
Graceful?
I mentally snorted.
Now that's funny.
"I just don't want to." I calmly answered.
She shook her head in disappointment.
"What am I going to do with you." she says as she laughed and locked her hands on mine again.
