Natsu POV

I secretly watched Lucy's every move while we ate dinner in silence.

Who would have thought?

Behind those glasses and messy buns is actually a goddess in disguise.

An actual angel walking on earth and can be so many pure things, words can never describe.

She can really be popular if you think about it, especially with innocent looks and brain like hers.

She really does take after her mother's beauty.

"Natsu? Are you okay? You've been staring at me for a few minutes now." Lucy says snapping me back to reality.

I felt myself blush furiously being caught red handed by this mysterious woman who just suddenly became my best friend.

"Y-Yeah. I'm just really thankful that you allowed me to see the real you..." I shyly said, making my cheeks burn a lot more.

"Anything for a friend." she smiled.

"Well, I better get going. We still have school tomorrow." I said awkwardly.

"That's right! Let me walk you home!" she says looking excited.

"Y-You don't have to!" I stuttered.

Would you look at this?

Natsu Dragneel losing his cool over a bookworm?

Now this is truly entertaining! My conscience mocked.

Brain, shut up and stop rubbing it in!

Heart, would you keep it down! Stop going wild! Get a grip!

I calmed myself down.

Too much has been happening today.

I saw her smile, laugh, and admiration for simple things.

Her long golden hair that flows on her waist, her chocolate brown orbs that hid behind those thin lenses and her true cheerful self.

There's so much I'd like to question this woman for!

Why are you wearing such an awful disguise?

How long have you been hiding?

Why have you been messing my head from the first time I saw you?

Why are you making my heart beat so fast?

"I insist! I'd like to see where my supposed-to-be best friend lives?" she said smiling softly.

Is that heaven I see, before me?

"But it's late and it's dark out." I argued.

"It shouldn't be far, right? I'll text you when I get home." she insisted.

Hmm...

Safety or text?

A first ever text coming from her?

Who the hell's crazy enough to decline such an offer?

I'll take it!

"Alright. It's really not that far." I sighed in defeat.

Pretentious bastard.

You're squealing like a fan girl inside, freak!

"I DO NOT!" I roared, blushing fiercely.
