The promise made but never kept

Chapter Thirty Six

-Time skip: Friday-

Natsu asked me to pack some clothes and bathing suit. He didn't tell me where we're going.

I followed his request with no complaints or questions.

I wore my nerdy outfit.

I couldn't risk being seen in public, especially when they don't know me as a Vermilion.

We told mom and she only gave us a teasing smile, but agrees nonetheless.

Natsu drove and I believe we're on another city.

The place isn't familiar.

He stopped the engine and opened my door then held my hands.

We continued walking and I tried to look for any signs of beaches or any signs of water, but there were none.

Natsu stopped walking and looked up to me and smiled.

"We're here." He smiled.

"We're where?" I questioned.

"You see that mini bridge there? Look down." He smiled.

I walked towards the mini bridge and looked down only to see an amusement park.

An almost underground amusement water park?

Cool!

I looked at Natsu grinning from ear to ear then grabbed my hand in excitement.

He dragged me towards the park, holding our bags with his other hand.

"Looks like someone's too excited!" I chuckled.

"You have no idea!" he grinned glowingly.

He talked to the hotel coordinator and got ourselves a key.

We're on a separate room, but it's just right beside each other.

"Lucy, let's go change our clothes!" he cheered and I laughed then went straight to my room to change my clothes.

I placed my hair on a ponytail, kept my eyeglass and wore my bathing suit inside a huge black top plus short shorts.

I went out of the room where Natsu was waiting and we explored the water park.

We rode every water rides we see and challenged each other from time to time.

It started to rain again.

"I guess our adventure ends right now." He stated gloomily.

I looked all over the place and everyone was seeking for shelter from the rain.

The place we're at was crowded.

Everyone was squeezing in and my eye glass came off then I got pushed back out of the shelter.

I stood outside the shelter where everyone's eyes were on me.

"Natsu!" I yelled as I cover my face.

"Hey, isn't that chick familiar?" Someone gossiped.

Oh no.

"Isn't she a model? Damn! Look at those legs." Someone whistled.

'I know her!' Someone screamed.

I stood there frozen and anticipated what will happen next.

"She's the Heartfilia heiress!" Someone yelled.
