-Time skip: fifth class-

We all sat on our assigned seats for Mira-senpai's class which was the most effort I've ever made for the entire day.

Seating to the seat next to mine.

I sighed heavily as I see two guys approaching my direction.

"Hey Lucy!" They said in unison.

"Stop copying me!" they continued.

They bickered till they finally made Erza snap.

"Knock it off." Erza hissed lowly.

"A-AYE." they stuttered.

I slouched on my seat.

I closed my eyes, contemplating whether I should visit dad this year or not.

But I had to.

I have to go in a few months' time.

It's my duty not just as a daughter.

But as a best friend to him.

I have to see him.

Is he being taken care of properly?

I need to get things off my chest.

"Oi Lucy!" Pinkie whispered.

"Huh? What?" bringing my full attention to him.

"You were sleep talking." he chuckled.

I slept?

"Huh? What did I say?" I asked nervously.

"Hmm... Something about him?" he shrugged and looked at me directly.

"Who's him?" he asked.

"Uh... N-Nobody... D-Did I say anything else?" I stuttered and felt my body froze.

"This is the first time you stuttered!" he rejoiced.

"B-Baka! I'm asking you a question! Anything else I mentioned?" I exclaimed standing up, making the entire back row look at me.

Gajeel, Levy, Gray, Erza, and Pinkie flinched then I blushed in embarrassment.

"S-Sorry minna." I bowed and sat down in shame.

Gray chuckled beside me and whispered in my ear, "You're so kawaii!"

When I turned to look at him he blushed.

"T-Thanks..." I mumbled in response and blushed.

I fake coughed and relaxed then turned to Pinkie.

"As I was saying, did I mention anything else?" I courageously asked.

He thought for a moment and shook his head.

I sighed in relief.

"But who's he?" he asked curiously.

I shrugged in response.

"Oh by the way, I brought you this!" Pinkie says handing me a rose with a note attached to it and stared at my face-anticipating.

"Uh... Thanks I guess?" I said, sounding unsure.

I turned to look at him looking disappointed.

I read the note attached to the flower.

Smile for me, please? it says.
