She could say many things she hated about Tulsa.

The social classes, the violence, the judgement.

But one thing she would never hate was the lights.

Oh how they lit up every corner of town.

And that was for both sides of Tulsa.

"Stay near me, I don't needya' wonderin' off in this place" Dallas said as we entered Bucks

"Dallas, I can handle my own"

"Oh Doll, you of all people cannot handle your own" he said as he ruffled my hair

She gave him a shove and we walked to the bar

"Hi Buck" She says politely and smile tightly.

"You brought the broad again" he rolled his eyes and retorted sharply.

"And yet I still try to be nice to you," She spat in his face.

"Enough enough" Dallas waved his hand "why dontcha' hook us up with some drinks, huh?"

"Sure if ya' can pay" Buck snapped

"Whatever" he banged some change on the counter.

Buck handed them two beers and they made their way over to the main area.

"Stay here" he demanded .

"Whe-where are you going..?" She looked at him curiously .

"I'll be back, don't you worry".

"No, Dallas please don't leave me here, I don't know no-one" she pleaded.

"Thought you said you could handle your own sweet cheeks" he grinned.

She looked at him furiously and finally said "fine, go" .

"That's the spirit, sweetheart" and he sauntered off.

She downed two more beers after he left and for the first time sense she got in here she felt relaxed.

That's when her song started playing.

And she couldn't help but dance, it was like she had no control over body.

Spinning, jumping, and laughing she enjoyed herself, listening to the melodies of the Beatles.

To her surprise she had an audience.

Men staring her down, laughing while sipping their beer.

But she didn't care.

Throwing her hands up in the air and climbing the counter she spun on her heal to the rhythm of the song.

Why hadn't she done this more often. Fuck Dallas, and fuck any man who made her feel like shit.

Shit was fucking alive.
