Cassandra Marie Sloan Shepherd or Cassie, she the younger half sister of Derek Shepherd and Mark Sloan. She's a third year resident at Seattle Grace, following in her older brothers footsteps to becoming a surgeon.

Meredith and Cassandra are sitting in the hallway talking when Alex and Arizona come walking past them.
" One of you has to go with Karev and pick up a premy." Arizona tells them.
" I'll go with Alex." Cassandra says jumping off the gurney the two friends were sitting on. " I got more peds hours and she needs to talk with Derek."
" Good, Put some scrubs on you leave in 15. You know what to do, I have incoming trauma." Arizona says as she hurries away.
" I'll meet you at the ambulance bay and you text me when you have talked with Derek." Cassandra says pointing first at Alex then at Meredith before hurrying to change.
As Cassandra walks though the ER to get to the ambulance bae she bumps into Jackson.
" Where are you going? I thought you were off." Jackson asks, noticing she's wearing a jacket.
" I was then stuff happened. Now Karev and I are picking up a preemie at Bentley Hospital. We need to leave as soon as possible. I might not be back until late." Cassandra explains as they walk through the ER.
" Same a kid got attacked by a dog. Might take a couple hours." Jackson tells her. " I got to go, but I love you."
" I love you too." Cassandra says before Jackson gives her a fast kiss and hurries away.
On their way back after getting the preemie the ambulance suddenly stops. The driver jumps out and opens the back door of the rig, Telling them to get out while he puts up a warning triangle and walks back to get help.
" It's pouring rain and freezing. We can't go out there with the baby." Cassandra says knowing they are in a very bad position.
" There is no shoulder. It's not like we can take the incubator out. I mean there is not even anywhere to stand." Alex says.
" This thing is full of oxygen tanks. We get hit and it will go up like a Roman candle." The driver explains to them. " You gotta get out."
" And leave the baby?" Alex asks.
" She'll die." Cassandra says looking at the driver and then the baby.
" You want to all die? I'm putting these out. You better hope people can see them. You are on a hill and on a curve. I'm telling you to get out of the damn rig." The driver says before closing the door and walking away.
