Cassandra Marie Sloan Shepherd or Cassie, she the younger half sister of Derek Shepherd and Mark Sloan. She's a third year resident at Seattle Grace, following in her older brothers footsteps to becoming a surgeon.

Cassandra walks into the locker room with a big smile on her face. She walks over to her locker and starts to change into her scrubs. Meredith is already in the locker room looking at her a bit strange.
" What's up with you? You are weirdly happy." Meredith says, looking at Cassandra.
Cassandra sighs before walking even closer to her. " I'm telling you this because you are one of my persons and my sister." Cassandra pulls up her hand showing her best friend the ring. " Jackson proposed."
" Oh my god. I'm so happy for you." Meredith says as she pulls Cassandra in for a hug. " Congratulations."
" I haven't even told my mom yet let alone my brothers. So don't tell Derek" Cassandra says with a bit of embarrassment.
" I won't." Meredith says happy for Cassandra's sake. " You're getting married."
Cassandra is walking down the hallway catching up to Callie who's already walking towards the ER.
" I'm sorry. I'm late" Cassandra says as she catches up to Callie.
" You are only here because you and your little pals are all freaks out over your oral boards, and Dr Webber suggested that Callie Torres might have a special study method." Callie says as they make their way to the ER.
" Both Mark and Webber said something about it." Cassandra says looking over at Callie.
" Well, Mark and Webber are correct. Callie Torres does have a study method, an excellent study method. But she's not about to give it away. Callie Torres study method has to be earned." Callie explains." Frankly, she doesn't think Cassandra Sloan Shepherd has what it takes."
" For your information, Cassandra Sloan Shepherd has what it takes. But I'm first and foremost here because of Ortho. That's one of my four specialties." Cassandra says as she puts on her gloves.
" For her sake, I hope Cassandra Sloan Shepherd is right." Callie says as they make their way through the crowd of people.
As they get to the front of the crowd Cassandra sees the patient, a man in his 30's with his hand in a meat grinder. Cassandra looks over at Callie with a big smile.
" I love ortho." Cassandra mumbles as she walks over to the patient.
As they start to examine the patient Cassandra looks over at the hand in the grinder meanwhile the patient whines in pain as he talks with his brothers. Cassandra gets the drugs from the nurse and is fast to administer the drugs. Before walking over to Callie, to get a closer look at the grinder hand.
