President Business' singular Corporatist "Cross of Fire", a major ally of the Junta in the assembly, today suffered a significant setback. The party has long been a broad-tent coalition, united mainly by Bussiness' own charisma and a shared distrust for Liberal Democracy.
However, the tensions caused by this have clearly reached a boiling point, with some of the party's hardliners under Louis Night, splitting off entirely to form a new "Knights of New Noctis" party.
Claiming inspiration from legionaries and villains of the past of Syspocalypstar, and seeking to defend 'Noctic racial purity' to restore his image as a powerful prince, Night has notably, proclaimed his absolute loyalty to the Watevra government, in what we can only assume is a ploy for influence in the Junta.
Nevertheless, Night's group remains on the extreme fringe, and his radicalism is regarded with suspicion by most of the population, while Watevra and the Junta have no interest in working with him. If anything, his split from the Cross of Fire has harmed President Business through exposing divisions in his party, more than it has helped Night.
