Parinidhi's pov!

"Fine. Challenge accepted, Mr Raichand. But don't expect me to fail." With that said, I stormed out of his cabin, my blood boiling in frustration and anger.

He is doing this purposely, thinking that I would myself resign and leave from this place.

Haa! As if it is going to happen. He had only seen my stubbornness and anger. He hasn't seen the helpless Nidhi who doesn't have any other choice.

This job is my lifeline. My family's lifeline. And that though alone provided me the determination and strength to weather any storms here.

As I walked forward, I saw Anshji and Mukul ji waiting for me around the corner.

I shot a stink eye at them and walked past them, not wanting to have any association with the two.

"Nidhi, stop. Please, listen to us once. We can explain." Ansh ji said, as he hurried behind me.

I stooped, turned around and glared at the two.

"The two of you set out to deliberately fool me. No further explanation needed. I hope I never see you two again." I said furiously and walked towards the elevator.

"Wait! Where are you going? What job did Sid give you?" Ansh asked, as he got into the elevator with me and I shot an annoyed look at him.

"Your precious Sid gave me a job to organise the archive room and catalogue it within three days." I said and Ansh's eyes widened in horror.

"You are kidding me.." Ansh said in disbelief and I ignored him, staring at the dialpad on the elevator exhibiting the floor number.

The elevator stopped two floors below and I got out, Ansh ji following behind me like a puppy.

"Go away!" I said furiously as I walked towards the archive room. Ansh ji himself showed me the archive room a couple of days ago, when he gave me a guided tour of the important areas of the office building.

As I reached the archive room, I wasted no time in rolling up my sleeves and diving into the chaos. Boxes were stacked haphazardly, papers were strewn about, and the whole place was a disorganised mess. But I was determined to prove Siddharth Raichand wrong and get the job done.

Ansh ji followed me inside, his expression filled with concern.

"Nidhi, please let me help you. This task is too much for one person."

I shot him a glare, my frustration bubbling to the surface.

"I told you to go away, Ansh ji. I don't need your help."

But Ansh ji didn't listen, insisting on staying by my side. He probably hoped that eventually, I would relent and allow him to assist me. However, I was too stubborn to admit defeat, determined to prove that I could handle the challenge on my own.

And I was annoyed with him too. He fooled me by saying all sorts of nonsense and made me talk about Siddharth Singh Raichand. Who knows, he might even have told all that to Rakshas too.

Hours passed, and fatigue began to set in as I worked tirelessly to organise the archive room.

At one point, I tried to move a heavy box, but it slipped from my grasp, causing me to stumble. Before I could fall, Ansh ji was there, his arms wrapping around me to steady my balance.

"What the hell is going on here?" Siddharth Raichand''s booming voice echoed across the walls of the archive room, startling me and Ansh ji.

Third person's pov!

Siddharth walked in, his eyes narrowing as he took in the scene before him. Anger flared within him at the sight in front of him.

"What the hell is going on here?" His booming voice echoed across the walls of the archive room.

"Sid.." Ansh began to speak, but Siddharth shot a cold look at him, making Ansh step back. Ansh isn't usually a recipient of such cold looks and he was actually surprised and shocked when he received one from his childhood friend.

"Can't you handle a job on your own, Ms Vyas?" Siddharth's voice was sharp with irritation, his gaze flickering between Ansh and Nidhi.

Nidhi bristled at his tone, her own frustration boiling over.

"I don't need anyone's help, Mr. Raichand. I have been managing just fine on my own. Ansh ji here was just tagging along against my wishes." Nidhi said, shooting an annoyed look at Ansh.

And Siddharth, for some reason, didn't like the way Parinidhi referred to Ansh as Ansh ji.

"Nidhi is right. She had been telling me to go away, but I refused to listen. Organising the archive room isn't an easy job, Sid. I couldn't leave her alone here.." Ansh said and his words only managed to annoy Siddharth more. He himself was confused, wondering why he was getting annoyed seeing Ansh standing next to Nidhi.

He seethed with a mixture of annoyance and confusion, unable to comprehend the dynamic between Ansh and Nidhi.

"You better do the job designated for you, Ansh. LEAVE!" Siddharth ordered and Ansh didn't have any other choice than to walk out of the archive room, not before sending a final look at Nidhi's way, leaving Siddharth and Nidhi alone.

Siddharth's lip curled into a sneer as he watched Ansh shooting a last look at Nidhi, before walking out. The tension in the room was palpable, and Siddharth couldn't shake the feeling of irritation gnawing at him.

"Trying to cosy up to Ansh, are we?" Siddharth's voice dripped with disdain, his gaze boring into Nidhi's.

Nidhi blinked in confusion at his words, momentarily taken aback by his accusation.

"What? No! I am just trying to get this job done," she said, not exactly grasping his words.

But Siddharth wasn't convinced, his frustration and confusion fueling his harsh demeanour.

"Don't play dumb, Ms. Vyas. I can see right through you. After all, Ansh is a good catch," he snapped, his grip tightening on her wrists.

Nidhi recoiled at his touch, her anger flaring up in response to his accusation.

"Let go of me, you arrogant jerk!" she spat, struggling against his hold.

Siddharth, however, was unfazed by her defiance. Instead, he pulled her closer, his grip unyielding as he held both her wrists tightly in his hands. The unexpected pull caught Nidhi off guard, causing them both to stumble backward.

In a swift, unexpected motion, Nidhi found herself falling, her body colliding with Siddharth's as they crashed to the ground. She landed on top of him, their faces mere inches apart as they lay tangled together on the floor.

"Sid..."
