Siddharth's pov!

I had an unofficial meeting with Mr Kapoor, who is intending to sell the city mall he owns. I came here on my brother in law's behalf who has an interest in buying this property in Jeevika di's name.

As I was walking through the mall after the meeting, my eyes caught sight of her.

Parinidhi Vyas!

I felt my heartbeat picking up its pace at the mere sight of her. The last three days I was in Ratnagiri, overlooking the renovation works going on in Noor Mahal. And every night after work, it was as if my brain was programmed in a way that Parinidhi's thoughts would plague my mind until I fall asleep. And once I fall asleep, she would come in my bloody dreams.

Damn!

I should just ignore her and walk away, I decided and walked forwards, but stopped short on my tracks seeing her laughing at something someone said. That's when my eyes caught sight of him.

Akash Menon! The guy from the marketing department who I once saw her talking with during office hours.

She is in a mall with that guy? Somehow, I couldn't digest that she had come out to a mall with a guy. She is not a girl like that from what I understood. And the way he looks at her, with heart in his eyes. It made my blood boil.

How dare he look at her like that?? All plans of ignoring her flew out of my mind and I marched towards her briskly and purposely bumped into her.

"Sorry-" She trailed off when she saw it was me.

I looked back and forth at the two of them and I could feel my facial muscles clenching in anger.

"What the hell are you doing here, Ms Vyas?" I asked furiously.

"Uh! We came for a movie, Mr Raichand." Akash F*cking Menon said.

"Are you Ms Vyas?" I shot at him angrily and Akash cowered in fear.

"I don't think I am answerable to you about my whereabouts when we are outside the office and out of office hours, Mr Raichand." Parinidhi spoke defiantly and at that moment all I wanted to do was to throw her over my shoulder and carry her away from here.

What the f*ck!

"Well, sorry to burst your bubble, Ms Vyas. Maybe you should read your contract once more. Every contract of Rey Designs specifies that the employee should be ready to work twenty four hours if needed any time.. Right now, I demand that you join me to finish important work." I said and I could see that she was shocked at my demand.

It is a random clause added in the employment contract where it is mentioned that employees should be willing to work overtime in case of emergencies. Usually this happens only during the three of four days prior to any fashion event.

Right now, I am taking advantage of that clause to get her away from here.

I still couldn't believe she had come out for a movie with this guy. How could she?

What a hypocrite you are!! My subconscious mind taunted me but I ignored it.

"Mr Raichand.." Parinidhi began to speak, but I didn't let her complete it. I am in no mood to argue with her.

"I don't have time to waste on silly arguments, Ms Vyas. I am only asking you to do something you signed up for." I said coldly and saw her looking at me furiously.

"Nidhi? What happened?" Priya, her sister, asked as she hurried towards us. Some other employees of Rey Designs also joined quickly.

Oh! So Parinidhi hadn't come out with Akash alone.. Somehow that made me feel relieved.

"Di, Mr Raichand is saying that there is some important work to finish." Parinidhi said through her clenched teeth, her angry glare fixed on my face.

"I am taking Ms Vyas with me as it is an important work related to the upcoming fashion event. Her sister can also join. Others can carry on with their plans." I said coldly and saw disappointment wash over Akash's face.

Without much argument, they nodded and left after saying bye to Parinidhi and her sister. Akash turned around a couple of times before walking away and I watched it with a strange sense of satisfaction.

"Come!" I ordered and walked briskly forwards. I could hear the hurried footsteps behind me.

As we reached the basement parking area, I unlocked the car and both of them opened the back door on either side to get in.

"Ms Vyas, I am not your bl*ody driver. Get in the passenger seat." I ordered and with a furious glare my way, Parinidhi opened the passenger seat door and got in.

As the car moved forward, a tense silence settled inside, which was broken a few minutes later by the shrill ringing of Parinidhi's phone.

Her phone's bluetooth might be on, because it got connected to my car.

Through the car stereo, we heard Parinidhi's aunt's voice.

"Nidhi, did you both have dinner? Is your work over? How long would it take? Don't go anywhere without Swati. Come home by ten. Rest of the work, you finish tomorrow." Parinidhi's aunt said and I raised an eyebrow and looked at her.

So, she lied to her aunt and went out for a movie.

I opened my mouth to speak, but before words could come out, Parinidhi's palm covered my mouth. I could see her looking at me in alarm. She held her palm tightly over my mouth and I loved the feel of it.

"Bua, we will come home soon. I am hanging up now." She said and quickly disconnected the call.

"Phew.." She said and took her palm off my mouth.

"You are not as innocent as you try to portray yourself, Ms Vyas." I said in a taunting tone.

"Probably! What I don't understand is, how is that any of your business, Mr Raichand. Moreover, aren't you being a tad bit hypocritical by commenting on innocence and all?" She asked in an equally taunting tone.

"What do you mean, Ms Vyas?" I asked coldly.

"Oh, I was just astonished with your confidence to comment on my morals. Especially someone with loose morals like you have."
