We have all just lived through a pandemic.
No one seems to care.
Our children are drowning, the adults pulled under long ago.

Anxiety, Depression, Suicide: This is what our generation's become.
Traumatized with no way to vocalize only to be told to sit down and work.

We are tired. We are angry
We want help. We are giving up.

Send help we shout to a deaf world.
Our system's corrupt but no one seems to care.
Math and History are what's deemed important.
Self care is superfluous.

No one asks if we're happy
All they want is the number to our name.
A seventy-five may be average
Yet it is seen as a disgrace... (2021).
