Coles POV

These last few months have just seemed to fly by and the closer graduation gets the more my dad brings me to the office at work and in his office at home to go over business things. While it's being handed to me and while I have a guaranteed great future it doesn't make me happy to have to go through with it. I did like the fact that I will have Lauren by my side through it all I would love to come home to her everyday after work and just relax with her and one day her and a child or two. Right now I just got out of talking with dad about business and I walked back to my room and grabbed my wallet and keys and drove to the mall and went to the jewelry store and looked at engagement rings. I'm not saying I'm asking soon I just would like to have it and be ready when I feel it's time to ask. It didn't take long to find the perfect ring and I paid part of it and made a payment plan for the rest then I left with it in my pocket. I called Lauren to see what she was up to but she didn't answer so I figured she must be napping cause she has been pretty tired lately so I headed over to daltons house to see all the guys there
Dal- hey man I'm surprised you're not with Lauren
C- she didn't answer my call so I'm guessing she's napping
G- is she ok she's been tired a lot lately
C- as far as I know she is and let's be honest she's always been a sleepy girl
Dav- this is why she's your personal koala
C- oh ha ha
Dav- tell me I'm wrong tho
C- I can't but that just sounds weird
Dav- haha ok
C- so how's your afternoon going
W- boring to be honest we did our homework then we have been just sitting here trying to figure out something to do
Dana- what about yours
C- eventful you could say
Guys- meaning
C- I had the business stuff to handle with dad after school then after that I went to the mall and picked this up
I pulled the ring out of my pocket and showed them and all their eyes went wide
Dal- you're already going to propose
C- no but with the school year coming to an end in just a few weeks my free time ends in a few weeks so I grabbed it now cause I know damn well I will be proposing to her it's just a matter of time
Guys- awww
G- look at you you're all grown up
C- oh shut up
We all laughed and decided to play video games and soon enough I had a text from Lauren saying sorry for missing the call she was asleep which made me laugh that I was right . We ended up texting for the rest of the night until we fell asleep. The next day when we met up at school I was quick to wrap her in my arms and kiss her
C- I missed you
L- hehe I missed you too
C- so I got a question
L- hmm
C- did you want to go to prom
L- I don't know why
C- cause I thought it could be fun but it would also be loud and crowded which you're not a fan of
L- I'm kind of past caring about loudness and crowded spots since the parties you guys have had
C- awww yay
L- if you want to go we can go it would probably be a fun time before you become mr stuffy CEO
C- haha exactly
L- the guys should come as well
C- let's go talk to them then
We walked over to the table where they all were at
C- hey guys you're all going to the prom with us ok
Dal- you do realize we're not Lauren your orders don't work on us
C- you lie
Dal- shut up
We laughed but nonetheless the guys all agreed to go so now we all got to focus on shopping and looking forward to prom!
