Y/N POV
I've been super anxious today for no reason. I want to talk to Matt about it, but I don't know how to get him away from his brother's. I don't want them to know about my anxiety. It's embarrassing.
We're all just chilling on the couch when Matt got up to get some food. I feel even worse without him. My ear started ringing. Fuck. Not now.
I tried to control my breathing, as it got louder. I put my sleeve over my mouth to make it quiter. I pressed the corner of my sleeve to my eyes to soak up the tears so they wouldn't fall. I felt a tap on my shoulder, I didn't look over.
"Y/N, are you ok?" Nick asked. He had been asking, but I didn't hear him. I nodded, still not looking at him.
"Matt!" He yelled into the kitchen. Matt came in looking confused.
"I don't know what's wrong?" Nick said, pointing to me.
God, this is so embarrassing.
Matt quickly walked over to me and kneeled in front of me.
"Y/N, hey, look at me, eyes on me." He said, taking my hands into his. I looked to his eyes, gasping for air.
"Deep breaths, in, and out. In, and out." He instructed, guiding my breathing. After a while, I could kind of breath, but I was still shaking and crying.
"Good job, ok, let's count down," he said, rubbing up and down my arm. I have to count down from 100 by 3s. My therapist said it was the best way to distract me and calm me down.
"100," I started in a shaky voice.
"97,"
"94," I continued counting down until I got to 0.
"Good job, you did so good." He said, pulling me onto a hug. We hugged for a minute before he pulled away, wiping the tears from my face.
"You ok?" I nodded.
"What brought it on?" He asked, I shrugged.
"I don't know, I've just felt of all day." He nodded in understanding.
"Why didn't you talk to me?" He asked. Wiping the tears that were still falling. I shrugged, not wanting to say in front of Nick and Chris. He understood and pulled me up, taking me to his room.
"Matt, their gonna think I'm a freak." I said, as the tears flowed faster.
"No their not. You are perfectly normal." He said, sitting me on the bed.
"I will talk to them. They'll never bring it up. I promise." He reassured me.
"Ok," I said, knowing he wouldn't break his promise.
"Why don't we take a nap." He suggests knowing it calms me down. I nodded. We climbed into bed, I cuddled into him, feeling safe in his arms.
