Lizzie
Walking into my dorm after a blissful night with a wide smile on my face and sore legs the last thing I expect to see is two of my friends sitting on my couch.
Their tall figures take up the entire couch, I try and hide my nervousness by walking into the kitchen completely avoiding eye contact.
"Hey! What are you guys doing here? How did you get in?" I say dropping my bag on the counter.
"Luke Beckett huh?" Archie drawls, I freeze in spot not wanting to move and face them.
Levi sure knows how to talk.
Considering it's only been one night since Levi saw me and Luke together I thought I would have more time to prepare for this interaction.
"Seriously Lizard, out of everyone on this planet and it had to be him." JJ adds to the fire standing up,
"Look, I know it's a surprise but-" I start,
"A surprise?! I don't trust him one bit Lizzie, neither should you." I turn my attention to Archie silently pleading for him to say something but he stays silent watching JJ lash out,
"It's not like that-" I try again,
"Are you sure you've met him because the guy I've met is a complete dick!"
Blowing out a breath of frustration I finally work up the courage to shout back,
"Watch your fucking mouth when your talking about the man I love." I defend, the room goes deathly silent and I don't blame them I can't remember the last time I've lashed out and swore.
"You supported Gracie and Logan's relationship so why can't you support mine." I shout at JJ before turning and pointing my finger at Archie.
"And you. Can you fucking say something!" I shout giving up on not trying to curse, both of the guys stay quiet assessing me before Archie starts talking.
"I hope you know what your getting yourself into Liz." He steps up towards me embracing me in a side hug and I let out a breath of relief knowing that I haven't lost him as a friend.
"Fine." JJ says his head tilted up like a child,
"It doesn't mean I like it but I accept it" JJ says coming up towards me hugging the other side of me,
"But some of the guys on the team don't like it at all" JJ warns me,
"How've you guys been?" I ask trying to change the subject,
"Things have been fine, Logan's training hard for the draft and Ed's been helping him whenever he's not fighting with Emma." Archie responds plucking an apple off my fruit bowl,
"And Joe?" I ask slightly worried because I know that out of everyone who is going to have a reaction out of me and Luke, Joeys would be the worst.
"Still a fuck-boy, told me to tell you that he still loves you even if you're boyfriend is a shithole that he wants to beat up." Archie continues and I chuckle because that sounds exactly like him,
