Location: Hub Area - Mega Pizzaplex Plus

Time: 12pm

The midsummer sun hung high in the sky as Cassie and Gregory reunited at the Pizzaplex, their laughter mingling with the cheerful chatter of patrons. At fifteen, they stood on the cusp of adulthood, their youthful energy palpable as they embarked on another day out together.

Cassie couldn't help but notice how Gregory had grown taller and more muscular since their last meeting, his presence commanding and confident. Despite the changes in his appearance, she felt a familiar admiration stir within her, a fondness that hadn't weathered with the passage of time.

"What the hell have you been eating to grow so big?" she teased, her eyes dancing with amusement.

"I think it's mostly genetics," he replied, shrugging modestly. "But I make sure to eat plenty of meat and vegetables too."

Cassie couldn't help but admire Gregory's easy charm and genuine warmth. She noted the subtle shifts in his demeanour, the subtle nuances that spoke of maturity and self-assurance. Turning her attention to her own appearance, Cassie twirled a lock of her newly dyed blonde hair, her attire a vibrant blend of pink and purple hip-hop style clothing.

"I love your new look Cassie." Gregory lauded, "It's unique but in a good way".

"I'm trying a Gyaru style kind of thing," she explained, her voice tinged with excitement. "You don't think it's too weird do you?"

"Not really but I do wonder, isn't this...cultural appropriation?" Gregory furrowed his brow in curiosity.

"Nah, I doubt so. It's just a style like Lolita dresses." she reassured him, "People at school think I'm weird but...I like the way I look".

"Yeah. I love the way you look too".

With plans for the day in mind, Cassie proposed starting off their morning at the new and upgraded Roxy Raceway. The sheer magnitude of the colossal four-storey raceway took their breath away upon approaching the recently renovated attraction, towering above them like a futuristic labyrinth. The track wound its way down with twists and turns, spiralling through every level like a coiled serpent ready to strike. Bright neon lights lined the edges, casting dynamic shadows as they descended into the heart of the racing arena, and together, they made their way to the ticket booth to purchase three laps around the track before riding the lift upwards.

"Hey, your vertigo isn't gonna act up is it?" Gregory questioned her.

"I took my meds for it. I should be fine".

They stepped onto the vibrant raceway, the air buzzed with excitement, carrying the scent of burnt rubber and the low hum of engines idling in anticipation. Gregory and Cassie, each donned in their respective racing gear, approached the sleek, high-tech racing go-karts waiting at the starting line.

Bright neon lights illuminated the twisting path, casting colourful reflections off the polished surface of the track. With a grin, Cassie slid into her driver's seat, adjusting her grip on the steering wheel as she revved the engine, the powerful thrum sending vibrations through the vehicle. Gregory, equally eager, settled into his own navy blue car beside her, his focus sharp as he scanned the track ahead.
