Chapter 27: Moving Forward

"Hey, look!" Veldora called out as everyone looked to see him pointing at you.

The dorsal plates on your back suddenly began flashing blue as the magicules in the air around everyone suddenly became visible and shined blue as they were being drawn to you. In that moment, a blue light surrounded your body and shined brightly, forcing everyone to cover their eyes as a pillar of light shot into the air. There was a strong gust of wind that blew through the area, and the only one capable of watching was Diablo as he was in awe of what he saw take place.

"Incredible...Absolutely incredible!" Diablo proclaimed in joy as Rimuru opened one eye a little to try and see what was going on.

The pillar of light suddenly began changing forms as it turned into a Gojira spirit for all in the Forest of Jura to witness. The light coming from the spirit monster illuminated the area as all the citizens of Tempest stared on in awe. The Gojira spirit let out a roar to the sky before its body began to suddenly grow smaller in size and absorb itself in the center of its body. Like as if a star from the sky had come down to shine upon the land, everyone saw you floating in the air as your power was absorbed into your body and you slowly began descending to the ground below. There was a small pulse of energy that shot out from you and gently blew away and dust around you as the blue aura around your body dissipated and you took a deep breath in before exhaling and opening your eye lids, revealing your gentle blue eyes as your claws and fangs had changed into normal appendages and teeth.

"Yo, Y/N." You heard as you looked ahead of you to see Rimuru walking towards you as he stopped a foot away from where you stood.

"Rimuru..." You muttered as he extended a fist out to you with a smile on his face.

"W-Wait! I need in on this too!" Veldora exclaimed as he jumped over and stood next to Rimuru with his fist extended out in the same fashion while everyone else watched on with smiles.

"Welcome back, partner." Rimuru said with a grin as you smiled back at them before bumping fists with the two of them, completing the reunion and finishing this trio off with a joyous smile on your face.

"Yeah! Everyone, I'm back!" You said as the three of you all grinned cheekily at one another as the others smiled while watching you three, but after that, you pulled your hand away and grew a serious and sad look on your face. "Thank you guys, for stopping me. You saved me." You said to them.

"Don't sweat it! We weren't going to just abandon you and let the other guy run rampant." Rimuru said in a reassuring tone as you looked around to look at the destruction that was caused.

"Still....This was all my fault.." You said as you walked over to a burnt down food stall and knelt down to pick up the ashes in your hand. "I wasn't strong enough to stop him from taking over me. If only I had been strong enough..." You trailed off in frustration as you clenched the ashes tightly in your fists.

"Things like this can always be repaired..." You heard as you turned around to see Benimaru and Shion walk over as they stood next to Rimuru. "It's also not like you destroyed the entire city. There's still plenty of it standing. The most important thing to us is that you have returned, Great Y/N." Benimaru said as Shion skipped over and and suddenly hugged you, pressing her breasts against your chest as she was a little shorter than you now.

"Hehehe, welcome back, Great Y/N!" Shion exclaimed with glee as you were surprised, while Mai watched from a distance with a pout. "Huh? You seem...less muscley than you were when you were fighting us? Also, you don't have that many scales or claws coming out of you." Shion noticed that your muscle size had shrunken a bit for a more lean build, maintaining a nicely toned, but smaller six pack and your other muscle sizes were about average as well while she walked around examining your body. "Well, not that I don't like this look, actually I think it suits you perfectly, ehehe~" Shion giggled while tracing her finger around your bare chest as you turned bashful with a blush while Mai's pout grew more prominent.
