i watched as tom swung poppy around in the long grass.

"tom please be careful" i said, trying not to giggle.

"yes yes dont worry i wont drop her. no need to worry." he laughed, still focusing on poppy.

poppy is me and toms daughter and shes four years old now.

we agreed to name her poppy because of the teddy poppy that tommy had gotten the night he had asked me to be his girlfriend.

poppy loves hearing that story, and it always makes me feel some sort of way whenever i tell it.

"mum please tell it again" poppy said, lying next to me.

"yeah mum please tell it again" tommy jumped in.

"fine."

poppy listened closely, taking in every word i said.

"and now we are here! sitting in a field, eating picnics just like how we used to do!" i said, looking around.

"i love that story." she said, smiling.

"me too pops" tom jumped in.

we sat there, enjoying our little picnic and eating food.

tom and poppy were my world and i dont know what i would do without either of them.

i love tommy so much.

but he will always be that damn british boy.
