•So High School•

"Hey Y/n," Brice's voice consumes the girl.
A large smile grazing her face she responds, "Hi."
Brice couldn't help but smile widely at the girls large smile, if there was one thing he loved in the world, it was Y/n's smile.

Brice wrapped his arms around the h/c haired girl, "You wanna go on a date?"
Y/n smiled, staring up at him in surprise, "Yes!"
Brice smiled, pressing a kiss to the side of her head, "Alright, get ready." He stepped back and began towards the living room.
"Uh— are you not gonna tell me where we're going?"
"Nope."
"Rat."
"I heard that."

The warm summer air engulfed the girl, her hair blowing in the wind as Brice drove the pair to their date destination.

Brice's hand made its way to the girls thigh, a sheepish smile formed on her face, as well as a light tint of pink at the unexpected physical touch.

Breaking the silence, Brice asked, "What was your favorite arcade game as a kid?"
Y/n sat for a moment, wondering which game she liked the most. "That dancing one, where you have to put your feet on the squares as they light up, my parents would have to drag me off of it." She laughed at the memory.
"Oh I hated that thing, I fell off it once, never did it again."
The girl let out a loud snort, quickly throwing a hand over her mouth in embarrassment.
"Sorry," she smiled, still laughing.
"It's not funny, I could've broken a bone," he frowned jokingly.
"Oh you poor thing," she cooed, still laughing.

After their shared laughter died down, Y/n went back to staring out the window, when it dawned on her, "why'd you ask?"
"hmm?" He questioned, pretending he didn't hear her.
"Why'd you ask?" She stated again, raising her eyebrow in curiosity.
Brice didn't respond, Y/n began to smile.
"Are you taking me to an arcade?" She giggled.
"No, why would you think that?" Brice chuckled.
"You're an awful liar, Turang."
Brice rolled his eyes playfully and squeezed the girls thigh, "yes, we're going to an arcade."
A loud squeal escaped the girls lips as she excitedly began to list off all the games they had to play.

***

Having been at the arcade for some time now, the pair had almost played every game, all but a few.

"Hey Brice," Y/n smiled mischievously.
"Yeah?"
"Dance battle?" She smirked.
Fear washed over Brice's features pulling a loud laugh from the girl in front of him.
"No way," he gulped dramatically.
"I'm traumatized by that!"
Y/n laughed dragging the boy towards the machine, "Suck it up buttercup, you're going down."

Brice reluctantly gave in, once on the machine a sense of competitiveness washed over him, suddenly he wanted to beat the girl in the dance competition.

"Not if I can help it." He replied, smirking.
"Mhm, I'd like to see you try, Turang." The girl removed her sweater from her waist, tossing it to the side.
"I can't wait to see the look on your face when you lose," Brice smirked at the girl.
Y/n rolled her eyes, "no chance in hell Turang."
The banter continued between the pair as they waited for the game to begin.

"Shit!" Y/n cursed having lost the first round.
"What was that about me going down?" Brice chuckled.
"Shut up, there's still two more rounds."
"Two more rounds of sweet, sweet victory." Brice teased.
Though the girl was upset she'd lost the first round she couldn't help but smile at the man.
"Shut up and dance." She laughed.

Now tied, both having won a round, a crowd had begun to form due to their competitiveness and awful dancing.
"Winner takes it all," Brice said, holding his hand out to the girl.
Y/n shook his hand, "Deal."

A smirk formed on Brice's features as the music began, the man felt as though he was gonna win, glancing over at Y/n every few seconds to catch her mis-steps, silently laughing to himself.

As for the girl, the world around her had disappeared, she focused solely on the music and her foot steps. Brice's teasing remarks, his silent laughs, all had disappeared as she focused on winning.

Y/n breathed in a sharp inhale as the song came to a quick end, leaving her certain she'd lost.
Or so she thought.

Finally looking over at her date, she smiled, "Guess all the trash talk really caught up to me."
Brice raised an eyebrow at the girl, pointing to her screen which showed that she was the winner.
Y/n's smile widened, "HELL YEAH! I told you, you were going down Turang, get on my level!" She chuckled as she did a victory dance.
Brice laughed in amusement at the girl.

Exiting the arcade hand in hand, Y/n giggled as Brice whined about losing.
"Thank you for this, Brice." She smiled, squeezing his hand. "I haven't had this much fun in ages, I felt like such a kid again," she told him, standing in front of the man.
"I'm glad, I love seeing you happy," he leaned in slightly.
Y/n'a eyes darted from Brice's eyes to his lips and back to his eyes, "this is so cliche," she giggled as Brice closed the space between them.

Her arms wrapping around his neck, Brice's hands cupped her face as they shared one of many kisses in their new found relationship.

Pulling away Y/n smiled widely, "you make me feel so high school," she breathed. Brice hadn't needed an explanation to what she meant, for he felt the same way.
