The sound of the trumpets declared the arrival of the monarch, the new ruler of the rajvansh. the ceremony was almost at its close, but a crucial part was still left.
Perhaps addressing it as crucial would be an underestimation of its significance. This was a change to the course of history.
After all the necessary oaths and procedures, the royal sage finally declared...
" ...and with this, I declare his majesty, Aadhrit Singh Rajvanshi, as the new almighty to the people of Rajvanshi empire. He is the supreme from now on till the time he transfers this same privilege to his heir."
As the crown was placed on aadhrit's head, he received the scroll from the sage and finished his address to the people.
loud cheers and applause followed this development before the sage stopped the crowd to deliver yet another big news.
" Following this auspicious day, we're also honored to declare that our monarch has chosen his queen, and we shall finish the ceremony by tying the future of this kingdom together. the heir borne out of this marriage shall be the heir of this kingdom.".......the sage said, with suspicious hints of hesitation in his voice. It was clear that he wasn't particularly happy with all that he said.
He gulped audibly before he voiced his next words....
"The ceremony shall henceforth proceed. i request for the bride to be brought upon the stage for the yajnas".
Shortly after, a few women crowded the entrance towards the stage and at the centre of the crowd was a woman dressed up exquisitely from head to toe with the most expensive pieces of jewellery known at the time.
The maroon colored lehenga was embroidered with stones and designs all over made of gold threads and the blouse was an applaudable piece of art. The royal designers did the best job of their lifetimes to put together the attire that screamed of royalty from head to toe.
Her hair was put up in a beautiful loose bun and adored with flowers tucked in at just the right places. It was all unrealistically close to perfection.
Definitely, it was the wedding of the century which would imprint itself on the pages of history. It was change to the course of time, a change to conventional traditions, cultures, and the way the kingdom would be controlled.
She was a girl who wasn't born or raised in a royal household. She wasn't trained to handle the proceedings of the royal household and oversee it's internal affairs.
She wasn't the 'princess' that turned into a queen.
Nevertheless, she was going to be the queen. Because something somewhere is always decided, and change is the only constant.Everybody understood the differences, and if they had any objections they chose to keep quiet.
The crowd made way for her to go upon the stage, but she kept still at the place she was brought to by the ladies.
Whispers sliced through the air and inevitably grew louder. Chatters included :-
Why wouldn't she move ?
Is she being forced ?
I thought they loved each other.
Maybe she is nervous.
This is why a commoner shouldn't be made a queen.
They still have time they should think twice. How would such a common girl handle such intricate regal affairs. The chatters grew louder each passing second and finally passed a point where it was enough for the newly crowned monarch.
Heavy footsteps broke through the whispers and now the attention was on the king who strode towards the girl. The rage was crystal clear.
It was a matter of seconds before he was a step away from her. His hands rose in an attempt to grab hers, .......but they stopped midair.
" Your majesty, we're under attack." .....the loud voice boomed and the guard fell down on his knees after the declaration.
