Agastya pov;

My heart stopped as I heard those words slipping out of her mouth after all this time. Its really amazing how a just a few words can make a person feel.

In that moment. I realized what I wanted all this time. it was clear to me now why I did all that I did. It was just to hear these very words.

These few words, really common words joined together into sentence and slipping out of her mouth felt magical. It felt like all that I had done till now, all that madness, all that torture, had finally found its meaning. That it was all worth it, made me feel like the happiest man alive. No one can be happier than this.

I was afraid that no other happiness even existed that would beat this one. Although, I would love to be proven wrong, but right now all I wanted was to cherish this moment and not let it slip away.

It was happening. She was finally going to be mine.

Knowing that I would be a part of her life, a significant one infact, made me feel like being on the very edge.

Knowing that her name would be taken with me and that my name would be a part of hers made me feel more alive by the second.

Maybe this is why people married, just to feel this bliss and surge of joy that couldn't be compared to anything else.

I made a promise to myself of never disappointing her, that I would never do or even think of something that might hurt her or be of any harm to her. I wanted her to feel safe at all times.

As much as I want to protect her with everything I have, I know she's a queen and I will not limit her to any achievements. I felt proud knowing that I'll have the most brave, courageous, intelligent and beautiful wife.

She was and will be the only woman that I would want to spend my life with, ever.

I looked at her, and found her still looking down.

This somehow made me feel alarmed.

"Its decided then, I'll meet the royal priest and decide upon the date and time of the ceremony.."

Dad said as he happily walked out of the room. I was surprised to see him this happy, as I always felt like he was hesitant about Ruh.

As he opened the door, someone stumbled in.

All of us looked towards the entrance to see Aksh balancing himself on his feet.

Dad threw him a confused look.

He stumbled as he brought himself to stand straight on his feet.

" I was just about to knock, your majesty." ....he explained.

I was delivered with another shock as I saw dad smirk at him and shake at his head.

" Sure." ...he said smugly as he made his way out. this was almost like a new avatar of him, and Aksh too was speechless.

" Did you see that? he smiled! he just smiled at me!" ...he almost jumped at me. I chuckled lightly at him before bringing my attention back to Ruh.

This time I found her looking at me.

Aksh understood the situation and went out.

" I'll accompany his majesty to the priest's chamber. "

As he exited, I didn't waste any more time.

" Even though you already did say yes to my father, I want to know if that is what you really feel. If you're doing this against your wish, I'm giving you a last chance to say no. Don't worry about anything else, just speak your mind and I'll take care of the rest. But, I need to know that you're not doing this out of pressure."
