Ranking music from these Video Game franchises

When it comes to music in video games some of them are by far some of the biggest bangers so I thought I decided to rank video game music from my 6 favorite video game franchises of all time. Mario, Sonic, Mega Man, Kirby, Kingdom Hearts and Honkai Impact 3rd, all of them having some great music in their own right so for today's discussion we're going to be ranking the music from these video game franchises from less to best so without further ado let's get started.

6. Mega Man

In last place I have Mega Man. The soundtrack from all of the games regardless if it's Classic, X, Zero, and XZ all have a pretty unique soundtrack to them and I think the style of some sort of futuristic music is great however the thing I think many of the soundtracks from the series sound pretty bland for my taste.

5. Super Mario

In 5th place I got Mario. Many of the soundtracks for the games are extremely memorable in my childhood. Like they got some awesome soundtracks ranging from stages, boss fights (especially Bowser's boss fights), levels you name it it's everything even the recent games like Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario Bros Wonder has some great soundtrack, but if I'm being honest I think Mario's soundtrack is mostly carried by the boss musics especially Bowser's boss themes but other than that I still think it's really great.

4. Kirby

In 4th place I have Kirby. Kirby properly has some of the sweetest soundtracks of all time which makes sense given the guy's adorableness but that's besides the point I do love some of the menu themes, world maps, levels, there all pretty great. However like with Mario, Kirby's music is mostly carried by the boss themes that's especially the case with Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Kirby Triple Deluxe, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and a few others but all are still great nonetheless. Now the next 3 is interchangeable due to how dope they sound.

3. Kingdom Hearts

Coming in at number 3 I have Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts soundtrack is phenomenal, Yoko Shimomura did not disappoint with this soundtrack. Everything when it comes to cutscenes, character themes, stages, boss fights and definitely emotional moments like with character themes like Aqua, Xion, Roxas, and Ventus which are manly sad themes then we got Kairi's theme which is mostly peaceful. KH does a good job with presenting themes with so many emotions with happiness, sadness, and action packed.

2. Honkai Impact 3rd

In 2nd place I have Honkai Impact 3rd. Right from the start Honkai has gotten jam packed peak music not only does it have emotional music that makes us happy, sad, or hype as well as epic boss themes, but the reason is the music that's being used in animated shorts. Ranging from Final Lesson, Lament of the Fallen, Shattered Samsara, Everlasting Flames, Thus Spoke Apocalypse, Because of You, and Generational Trip are all amazing. The artist behind the lyrics of those shorts are fantastic artists. Even its sequel series Honkai Star Rail has amazing soundtrack so much so that some of the English VAs ended up singing covers. That just how great the soundtrack is for HI3.

1. Sonic the Hedgehog

But 1st place hands down has to go to Sonic. Sonic has some of the best video game soundtracks in all gaming of history. Doesn't matter if you're talking about stages, hub worlds, songs, boss themes. Everything about the Sonic soundtrack is amazing even some of the worst games still manage to make banger soundtracks. Some of my favorites are Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, Sonic 06, Sonic Riders 1-2, Sonic Forces, Sonic Adventure 2, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic Frontiers. Like regardless on what category of what you're talking about Sonic has everything covered for you even the lyrics.
