Why I want Honkai Star Rail to surpass Honkai Impact 3rd

Despite some of my many problems with the game especially when compared to it's predecessor, Honkai Impact 3rd which is still the GOAT, Honkai Star Rail is still a game to be enjoyed especially when it comes to story I think there is a lot of potential in that but I want to discuss why I want Honkai Star Rail to surpass Honkai Impact 3rd. And just to be clear I'm not talking about story or gameplay because the OG already is better in that aspect but in terms of powerscaling. So for today's discussion we're going to discuss that so without further ado let's get started.

If you guys saw my previous chapter you would know that as of right now Star Rail is nowhere near close to Impact 3rd in power. However that doesn't mean that they have potential to do so. The reason I say this is because I got this idea from Naruto Chapter 342 where Kakashi tells Kakazu that one by one the next generation will catch up to and surpass the previous generation.

I've always applied this logic to pretty much every single media like for example Gohan has the potential to surpass Goku, Boruto already solos Naruto's generation, Deku has surpassed All Might, and so on. I'm actually going to apply this logic here. If you think about it Honkai Star Rail is the Boruto to Honkai Impact 3rd's Naruto and this is why I think this, since Welt Yang who traveled from his universe to Star Rail's and is some what of a father and mentor figure to the 3 main characters Trailblazer, Dan Heng, and March 7th kind of like how he played that same role in Honkai Impact 3rd. If we look at the timeline between how many years it takes between HI3 and HSR it might surprise you but the gab between years is extremely massive. I've already went in full detail on this in my How long has Welt Yang been in Honkai Star Rail? Chapter which you can fine in the table of content but to make things brief for you all. Based on one of the dialogues when you talked to Himeko, it's stated that many years ago she and Pom-Pom founded an abandoned ship when doing a task by Herta and that's how she met Welt.

This lets us know that Welt has been on the Astral Express for years now. If we look at the Alien Space manga the year at that point was 2029.

Based on the information we actually have a good idea at how long Welt has been away. Considering that a few years usually means 4 or 5 years whereas many means 6 or 7 years this means that Honkai Star Rail takes place around 20 years after the events of Honkai Impact 3rd, which as a reminder Kiana saved the world in the year 2017 and the end of Part 1 was 2018 so if you do the math that's a huge gab in terms of years this Ironic because Part 1 and 1.5 takes place in the 2010s, whereas Part 2 and APHO takes place in the 2020s this means that Honkai Star Rail takes place roughly around the 2030s. But now you might be wondering: "Why the fuck are you mentioning the year gab between Honkai Impact 3rd and Honkai Star Rail? What the Hell does that have to do with the later surpassing the former in power?" I bring this up is because regardless on how strong the previous generation they will eventually get surpassed in power by the next generation. For example let's take a look at Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju. Both of them are regarded at their time as some of the most powerful shinobi in the Naruto franchise so much so in fact that their raw power is above the likes of even Ten Tails Obito as they literally took Kakashi's words of the next generation surpassing the next and just ate it like it's nothing and Madara became even stronger when he became the Ten Tails Jinchuriki with double Rinnegan and the Rinnesharingan. If we don't include Kaguya or the Otsutsuki clan, Madara was pretty much the strongest character in the entire verse. Madara and Hashirama's powers were so overwhelming that it took 50+ years for someone generations after them to surpass them in power which is Naruto and Sasuke and later on in Boruto we have characters like Boruto, Kawaki, Code, Ada, and Deamon and likely Sarada, Mitsuki, and Himawari in the future. There was a huge year 16 year gap between Naruto and Boruto and nobody was able to surpass Ten Tails Madara until many years later by Six Paths Sage Mode Naruto and Rinnegan Sasuke and now even those two are surpassed by Boruto and Kawaki. The same applies here. For as much as I love Herrscher of Finality Kiana, Herrscher of Origin Mei, Herrscher of Truth Bronya, Herrscher of Rebirth Seele, Fenghuang of Vicissitude Fu Hua, Vita, Sa, Senadina and likely Dreamseeker, Helia, and Coralie, Adam, and Deliverance Kevin all of them are likely going to be surprised by the Trailblazer, Dan Heng, and March 7th despite the 20 year gab and I'm fine with that because I think it makes sense.

Now that we've discussed why I think it makes sense for Honkai Star Rail to surpass Honkai Impact 3rd we have to ask the question as to how will the successor surpass its predecessor. Well to start things off let's look at the information we have on we have so far and determine can they get stronger in the future or rather will we see more proof of them getting stronger in the future. From what we now of we can conclude that Aeons can destroy and recreate planets as well as galaxies as well as the universe.

We know Nanook we know he is capable of universal levels of power and is a lot stronger than all combined which by extension should be above universal weather it's slightly or massively we don't know but the point is Nanook should be above universal. I think we still need more information on weather or not he's above anyone in Honkai because we have to factor all kinds of things like the Cocoon of Finality, the Imaginary Tree, and the Sea of Quanta all of whom have all of shit such as infinite Bubble Worlds, alternate timelines, and alternate dimensions, Nanook would have to prove that he is on par if not above all of that which again is a real possibility we could get some information that implies or outright confirms he's above that but with one of the writers of Honkai Impact 3rd working on Penacony arc and given the fact we are seeing several references in the Acheron trailer I think we might actually see some feats that place them on par if not above Kiana, Mei, and Bronya who in their final Herrscher forms fought Kevin in Chapter 35, or stronger than Seele and Fu Hua when they fought Vita, and Sa or whatever feats that occurs in Part 2 or APHO. Once that happens  Honkai Impact 3rd fans don't get made if Trailblazer solos all your favorite characters otherwise you'll be even more salty than we Naruto fans can't accept the fact that Boruto solos all of Naruto Shippuden but until then you can brag at how fodder Honkai Star Rail is comparison to likes of Dragon Ball, Kingdom Hearts, Mega Man and for those weaker than Aeons than that means fodder in comparison to Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Yu Yu Hakusho, Toriko, and many more.
