Why Mega Man VS Astro Boy was NEVER close

Anyone who's known me for a long time now you would be aware that I did a debunk of a matchup that Death Battle did which is Mega Man VS Astro Boy on my first Random Book.

It's been about at least 4 years since the debunk and a lot has happened sense then. At first I thought this could go either way I thought that Astro Boy having the flight and agility advantage he might beat Mega Man to some extent. However after doing some further research I came to the conclusion that this fight is nowhere near close at all and in reality it is a much bigger stomp in Mega Man's favor which is why for today's discussion we're going to explaining based on the current information we have why in a fight Astro Boy gets utterly destroyed by Mega Man without any difficulty. So without further ado let's get started.

Let's start things off with raw power. Internationally I thought they were roughly even in terms of raw power however further research it's clear they are not even close in raw power. So first and foremost let's take a look at Astro Boy. I have seen arguments for him to be at least star level, people scale Astro to Bem who once destroyed a red star.

And not to mention Astro did defeat a foe who had the power to reform stars.

And I think Death Battle mentioned something of Astro surviving a dip in the sun with that Solar flare Most of these star level arguments are kinds fine however there is something that needs to be addressed. First and formost I don't know if scaling to Bem is completely consistent because let's not forget he did die in that moment, secondly Astro pretty much died when dipped into the sun, so I kinda question him defeating a guy who can reform stars when Astro has shown on a few occasions that he can and has died to those types of attacks before. Now let's talk about Mega Man. Originally I thought that Mega Man was just star level because he has battle foes like the Sunstar and has black hole weapons which technically until I discovered these statements that made me think otherwise. I saw a scan that states that Astro Man one of the Robot Masters Mega Man defeated has been stated to control dimensions and create entire simulated universes by controlling space.

Now this one was something even I didn't know was possible and for those who don't know being able to created simulated universes or control dimensions those are usually signs of someone between universal or multiversal which is absolutely insane. Going a step further if we take a look at the Japanese data for Saturn he was described as a robot who can manipulate time and space.

This is an absolute game changer going by all these statements this means that Mega Man after defeating two robots who can control dimensions, create universes, as well as control time and space this would make Mega Man somewhere around the universal to possibly multiversal range I've seen people say they scale Mega Man a lot higher and I can see why that's the case. This ultimately completely widens the power gab between Mega Man and Astro Boy, even if Astro is star level that's clearly not enough to match Mega Man in raw power. Now I know somebody's gonna say "But hax doesn't equal raw power." I don't care because if hax abilities can create black holes or universes then yes hax and power can be equal in some cases like this. But the one sided stuff doesn't stop here.

Now if we take a good look at speed both of them should be roughly even however I'm going to give Mega Man the edge here because some of his feats include dodging lasers that travel across planets in seconds scaling to Duo who flew across  from Earth to Saturn in seconds places him at MFTL+ speeds that and adding on his teleportation speeds, and Double Gear System multipliers only make him even faster. Astro on the other has at best FTL speeds when he raced to the sun to outspeed a missile that was moving in 43 seconds and the reason why the speed gap is huge is because when Mega Man dodged those lasers they were moving in less than 1 second flat. With that huge of a speed difference. Now I also heard some people say Mega Man has infinite speed due to Time Man's time stop however I do find this unlikely since it was do to hax and not speed however if you believe that increase in raw power means you also increase in speed especially with Astro Man and Saturn controlling dimensions and time and space than it that case Mega Man does more than just speed blitz Astso he flat out toys with him as well. But regardless based on what I've seen Mega Man still holds the speed edge regardless.

Lastly Mega Man has a far superior arsenal of weapons, Astro may have some impressive weapons of his own however all of them pale in comparison to Mega Man's, he's got some elemental abilities, black holes, time stoping, and many more plus all aimed with the Double Gear System now somebody named Strunt who defended Death Battle having Astro win against Mega Man did state that Mega Man has counters to some of Mega Man's abilities however that doesn't really because the massive power gab between the two wouldn't change much of anything at all resistance doesn't matter if the power gab is too wide also not to mention the speed advantage is too big too. Looking at this matchup now it's clear that even if we take away all the universal and multiversal and infinite speed stuff that doesn't Mega Man utterly destroys Astro alongside his entire verse and it's not even a contest. Astro Boy may be the reason why Mega Man existed but the whole "Original is always better" troupe doesn't apply here.
