When we arrived Felix and I were greeted as soon as we entered the doorway.

"Ellie, it's great to see you." Mary said, pulling me into a hug.

"Mom, let go, you're suffocating her." Felix spoke

Felix grabbed my hand and walked me into the dining room where Mr. Grand was.

"Ellie, welcome."

"Thank you for inviting me Mr. Grand." I replied

"There is no need to be formal with me, please talk comfortably."

"Ok, then Thank you for inviting me, Father."

Mr. Grand smiled widely. Then Mrs. Grand popped up and spoke.

"Please speak casually with me too."

"Of course, Mother"

Mary grabbed my hand and pulled me away from Felix.

"Come sit between Me and Frank." Mrs. Grand said

I was about to sit down but then Felix spoke up.

"Mother, I'm sorry but I would rather have her sit next to me, after all we are going to be married someday."

Mary and Frank stood in confusion for a second then started to smile.

"Ellie, come here." Felix called me over

I walked over to Felix who then guided me to my seat. He pulled out my chair for me and grabbed my cloth, utensils, and my plate, setting them all in front of me. I put on a loving face and spoke.

"Thank you, honey."

Felix flinched then replied

"No problem sweetheart."

We were all seated and then I realized.

"Where is Mya?"

"Mya is attending a business party for her team." Mary replied

"For her team? Does she play a sport or is she in a club?" I asked

"No, she works for Franks company, she is the leader of her team, and they won an award, so they decided to throw a party to celebrate.

"Huh?"

I was shocked. A 14-year-old girl was the leader of a business team, and she won an award. Felix grabbed my hand and spoke.

"Ellie, are you okay?"

I looked up at him.

"Yeah, just a little bit surprised, she must be really smart."

"I guess but I was smarter when I was her age."

[Was he showing off?]

I tilted my head slightly.

"Felix, are you showing off how smart you are?" I asked

"Maybe just a little." he said smiling

I giggled and so did Felix.

"Aren't they so cute, honey." Mary spoke "They remind me of us when we were engaged."

I blushed and let go of Felix's hand. The food arrived and dinner was great. Everyone was laughing and having a great time. When dinner was over Mary came to me with a small box.

"Here, take this."

I looked inside to find a beautiful diamond ring.

"This has been passed down through our family for generations and now that you are a part of our family, I'm giving it to you."

I was too flustered to say anything until Felix grabbed my hand.

"See if it fits." He spoke in a soft tone.

I put it on and it's a perfect fit.

"It's amazing." I said under my breath

Mary grabbed my hand from Felix.

"Welcome to the family, Ellie, I hope we can become even closer."

When she said those words, my head started to pound.

"Ugh, Ahh! Help, it hurts." I screamed

Felix grabbed me.

"Ellie are you okay?! Ellie?!"
