it's a buzzing night and i slip out through the crowd to leave the halls
music really is magical - the energy and emotion is just stunning and i'm definitely glad i was here tonight

obviously the most fun item was the set of two barbie songs which i thoroughly enjoyed - the traces of the production in my friends on stage was already nostalgic for a silly little time
but this is a concert for an orchestra and is so much bigger than just one instrument

the flutes played canon in d - a song that makes me think of weddings but also learning it for a piano recital when i was still in early primary school
there's a gentle and angelic touch to the flutes in their harmonies of singing winds - i could melt into the petals they paint like silk

cellos are so deeply soulful - the sound of maturity and wine and elegance
they feel so much more refined than violins, and pierce right through me with twisting notes
and the fingerwork is actually crazy i have no idea how they manage that speed and precision it's genuinely baffling and amazing. cello players are very cool

jazz and skiaull are two very different vibes but both fulfilling and energetic. the bright world of jazz is definitely something i want to explore more because i do know there are great things outside my white girl pop music hahha
it has a magnetism that just calls you to sway!! thw brass and hissy drums are just mmmm so luxury
and there's a joyful peace about connecting with nature with folk tunes i want to get more of too i just really love all energies of music

clarinets are still my favourite sounding instrument, though
they have the rich and deep aspects of the cello but a quality that makes them mystical sounding
like ships sailing into the horizon
like the call of something from a forest
like an aquatic world of sea creatures
i can't express it but i just love the hearty notes of them idk this all feels cheesy but ya lol

music is so cool!! performing is so cool!! seeing so many familiar faces i've learnt to recognise is pretty wholesome and i can't believe it's the last of these!! i want to keep pursuing this passion because i know it is just everywhere around us, hidden in practice rooms and recital halls

tonight was the final night at the symphony, but the walls of the school hall and opening up into the whole world to explore
this isn't the end of the journey for anyone!!
