TW~Swearing and a small panic attack.

Y/N's POV

I'm so excited to be here with my boyfriend Matt, his brothers Chris and Nick, and Sam and Colby, two of our friends. We're going to spend the night investigating the infamous Driskill Hotel, and I can barely contain my excitement.

As we arrive, Sam and Colby are already setting up their equipment and doing their intro for their YouTube channel. Matt and I exchange a glance, and he gives me a reassuring smile. "Hey bubs, ready for this?" he whispers, and I nod eagerly as he kissed me.

"Guys seriously, no PDA! We don't want to find you in one of the rooms having sex!" Nick shouted as Chris laughs, me and Matt getting embarrassed very quickly.

"We are collabing with The Sturniolo Triplets and Y/N!" Colby said as we all introduce ourselves. Sam and Colby then proceed to explain the plan for the night. They're going to film a paranormal investigation video, and we're all buzzing to be a part of it.

We got the tour of the hotel, and then we were left to go around and conduct experiments. We went to the Mezzanine, the Safe and then went to the 5th floor.

We decided to stop at Samantha's portrait, which is said to be haunted by the ghost of a young girl who was trying to get her ball, but she fell and broke her neck and died. Sam and Colby explain the history of the portrait and the legend surrounding it. We all take a few sweets from the bag that Sam had in the rucksack, leaving them and a ball at the base of the portrait.

Next, we head to the stairs, where Sam and Colby set up their SLS camera and flashlights. We're all a bit nervous, but Matt takes my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "Hey, bubs, don't worry, we're all in this together, we can step outside if you need," he whispers. I nod and smile at him.

As we start the investigation, Sam and Colby explain the different techniques they're using to try and capture some evidence. I'm fascinated by the way they're using the flashlights to try and communicate with any anomalies. The boys are all chatting, asking questions and laughing, but I can tell they're all a bit on edge.

"Are you guys up for trying the elevator game?" Colby suggests, I've heard is a great way to try and summon a spirit. Me, Sam and Matt agree to give it a try, and Colby explain the rules. We're going to take the elevator to different floors, and if we make it back to the lobby without any issues, we didn't summon anything. But if the elevator starts moving upwards on its own, we've summoned something.

Matt and I exchange a nervous glance, but Sam and Colby are all smiles. "Don't worry, guys, me and Colby have done this before," Sam says. "Just relax and have fun."

The three of us pile into the elevator, Matt and I holding hands, as Colby, Chris, and Nick staying behind in the lobby. Matt whispers to me, "You okay, bub? You're shaking like a leaf."

I nod, trying to calm down. "Yeah, I'm fine Matt. Just a little nervous, that's all." The doors closed as we set up the camera giving one to Matt and one to Sam. "Let's do this guys!" Sam said as we start the game, going to the 4th floor, then the 2nd, then the 6th, back to the 2nd, then the 10th, and finally the 5th floor. As we make it to the 5th floor, Sam and Matt look at each other, and I can tell they're both thinking the same thing.

"Press the ground floor button," Sam says, his voice barely above a whisper.

Matt does as he's told, and we all hold our breaths as we wait to see what happens. The elevator starts moving, and we all gasp in unison.

But instead of going up, the elevator starts coming back down. The doors open, and we all step out, relieved to see Colby, Chris, and Nick waiting for us, all looking relieved.

"We didn't summon anything!" Sam exclaims, as we gave one of the cameras to Colby.

Matt turns to me, a grin on his face. "See, Y/N? I told you it was nothing to worry about."

I nod, feeling a mix of relief and disappointment. I was hoping we would capture something, but it looks like we didn't.

"Guys, maybe we didn't summon anything because we didn't go alone. What if someone went alone?" Colby said, as we looked amongst ourselves.

Matt volunteered, and I have to admit, I was a little worried. He's not exactly fond of elevators, and I knew this would be a big challenge for him. But he was determined to get some evidence, so he took his camera and headed into the elevator.

"Please be careful Matt, you don't have to do it." I whispered as he kissed my forehead. "I'll be okay, I promise, I'll end the game if I think that I'm in danger, alright?" He replied as I nodded, giving him a hug before we say our goodbyes. He made his way into the elevator, and then the doors closed as he bags the game.

As we waited outside, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Sam started fiddling with one of their devices, a strange-looking machine that spirits could tap and 'yes' or 'no' would appear after asking a question.

"Is Matt in danger?" Suddenly, it beeped loudly and flashed a 'yes'

"What's that mean? Should he end the game?" Chris asked, looking concerned.

"It means Matt could be in danger, or a trickster spirit is messing with us," Sam replied solemnly.

My heart skipped a beat. I panicked, feeling a rush of adrenaline. Nick must have noticed my distress because he quickly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me aside.

"Hey, hey, breathe," he whispered in my ear. "It's just a machine, it might not be the truth."

I nodded, trying to calm down. Nick held me tight for a few minutes until I felt better. When we returned to the group, Matt was just stepping out of the elevator, looking relieved.

"Nothing happened," he said with a shrug. "I went to all of the floors and then the elevator went back down again."

We all let out a collective sigh of relief. I ran over to Matt and hugged him tightly.

"Good job, Matt." I whispered in his ear. He smiled and hugged me back. "Thanks for being there for me," he said.

We decided to end the night with some Estes Methods in the room where two brides were found dead. We got some great evidence and Matt was definitely talking to some sassy spirit, telling Nick to stop talking. The night was a great success and we couldn't wait for the next collab with Sam and Colby.
