Y/N's POV

Matt told me we were going to an ice rink for our one year anniversary date. I had always loved ice skating, and the fact that Matt had planned this special day for us made my heart skip a beat.

As we walked into the place, I couldn't help but feel a little nervous. I hadn't skated in years, and I was a bit worried about falling. When I was younger, I was a figure skater and done it for years until I fell on the ice, causing me to break my leg, and on top of that, my blade on my skate cut my hand open. I've never told Matt about it as I had trauma from the accident for a while.

But Matt, being the romantic that he is, took my hand and gave me his reassuring smile.

"Y/N" he said, "We're going to have so much fun today."

I smiled back at him, feeling a little more at ease. "I'm excited," I said, "but I'm a little worried about falling."

Matt chuckled and squeezed my hand. "Don't worry about it, I'll catch you if you do."

"You're so cheesy!" I exclaimed, causing us both to laugh. As we laced up our skates, I couldn't help but notice how cute Matt looked in his skates and gloves. He looked like a kid on Christmas morning, and it made me laugh.

Once we were both set up, we took each other's hands and stepped onto the ice. Matt moved confidently around the rink, gliding effortlessly across the ice. I followed close behind, trying to mimic his movements.

As we skated around the rink, Matt started to get a little more reckless, taking risks and pushing himself to go faster. I held on tight, laughing as he spun around and around.

But then I decided to tell Matt something unexpected. I done a few spins and turns and Matt looked over at me and raised an eyebrow. "You're really good at this," he said.

I smiled, feeling a little proud of myself. "Yeah, I used to be a figure skater," I said.

Matt's eyes widened in surprise. "No way! You're amazing!"

I blushed at the compliment, feeling a little shy. But Matt just grinned and took my hand again. "Show me more," he said.

And so, I started to spin and twirl across the ice, my old figure skating skills coming back to me like muscle memory. Matt watched in excitement as I performed a few jumps and spins.

As I finished up my little routine, Matt lifted my hand above my head and twirled me around again. I felt like a princess in a fairy tale, and it made me feel so happy.

When we finally stopped spinning, Matt grinned at me. "How do you do all that?" he asked.

I laughed and leaned in close to him. "It's just something I used to do," I said. "Continuous hours of training."

Matt's eyes widened again. "That's incredible."

I smiled at him, feeling a little proud of my past accomplishments. "Yeah, it was a lot of fun," I said.

Matt looked at me for a moment, then nodded his head. "Okay, show me how to do one of those spins," he said.

I grinned at him. "Okay, but don't worry if you don't get it right away," I said.

Matt nodded and took a few tentative steps forward as he held his hands. I held his hands as I made a circle, causing him to start slowly turning in a circle.

And then, he fell.

We both burst out laughing as Matt picked himself up off the ice. "Well, that was fun," he said, grinning at me.

I laughed too, feeling happy that we could share this moment together. "Yeah, it was definitely an experience," I said.

Matt looked at me with a mischievous glint in his eye. "Hey, want to try another one?" he asked.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you sure you're ready?" I asked.

Matt nodded confidently. "Yeah, I'm ready."

And so, we tried again. And again. And again.

Each time, Matt fell down on the ice with a laugh. Each time, I helped him back up and showed him what he was doing wrong. And each time, we laughed together until our sides hurt.

As we finally made our way off the ice after our last attempt at a spin (which didn't quite work out), Matt turned to me with a grin on his face.

"Thanks for teaching me how to spin," he said.

I smiled back at him. "Anytime, babe," I said.

Matt put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me close to him. "You're the best teacher ever," he said.

I leaned into him, feeling happy and content. "You're not such a bad student either," I said.

Matt smiled and leaned in close to me. "I'm glad we're doing this together," he said.

I smiled back at him. "Me too."
