Your blind date stood you up. That was the only explanation to what was happening. If your supposed blind date is late for over half an hour, it doesn't mean he is gonna be there. That's for sure.
Your best friend, Sumin, told you to go out with a guy she went middle school with and said he is so nice and popular around girls. You agree to go since she won't leave you alone. But the seemingly nice guy is nowhere to be seen and you already hated him without even meeting him. Seems like you should have avoided him when she told you he is popular around girls.
You saw his picture and he is good looking but that doesn't prove he is really nice since now he is not in the restaurant you were supposed to be having dinner at.
You glanced at your wrist watch (which your bestfriend said goes well with the black dress you were wearing) and realized he was an hour late now. You wanted to call him even if it would be the first time but something told you to just be patient.
You tried distracting yourself from the anger so you looked around the fancy restaurant Sumin has set you two up at. It seemed like a famous dating spot since most of people were in pair and looked like a college student just like you.
Some are waiting for their date like you while some go out after having dinner. You blamed your luck for not letting you experience all that.
Your phone pinged with message and you unlocked it and see who was texting you.
"I'm really sorry. I'll be there in 10 minutes."
Your date, Taeyang, was the one who texted and you sighed in relief. At least he is coming.
You scrolled through your phone, bored and uninterested in all of this already. The waiter keep asking you what you want but you told her you were waiting for someone. You can see she is pitying you as she looks at you with her brows furrowed sadly. You try not to seem like a loser and you keep smiling to your phone.
You've had enough now he is thirty minutes more late.
You texted him but your phone couldn't send. The bar on the network was zero and you lost connection.
What a great date!
You laid your phone on it's face and start looking around, impatient about everything.
You noticed that most of the people are leaving and there are few of you in there. There are two other couples, you, a girl who just left when her date arrived and a guy who was sitting alone as long as you did.
His broad back was facing you but you can tell he was also getting tired, guessing by the constant tap of his foot. He keeps looking at his watch. For a minute you though he was your date since his back was facing you.
Then he got up and walked towards the restroom. Few minutes later, he came back and your breath was caught in your throat. Now, you really wished he was your date.
He was beyond handsome. He had a black suit with a black unbuttoned shirt. You peaked at his chest which he had a gold necklace on. He walked confidently even if he has slight annoyance pasted on his face. Before he sits, he meets your eyes. Your heart did a somersault at that.
You wondered what his date would look like when he himself looks like that.
You yourself had your date ditching you, who are you to pity someone else?
You sat down and started sipping the wine you never noticed was there. Then you noticed there was a note on the table.
"You're too pretty to get stood up. I'm sorry your date isn't here. My treat." Then it was signed with a complicated cursive that you can only read the first letter, "H."
