There's a lot of things I regret about this story, but including Techno's cancer has to be one of them.
SPOILERS, he does not die in Pretty Face.
When I wrote this story, I used it as an outlet for my fears and frustrations when Techno told us he had cancer. I included it because I wanted Pretty Face to be as accurate to real life as possible. I was also hopeful.
I'm writing this note because I realize that people might come into the story and be triggered by the content. Yes, Techno has cancer in this story; however, he does not die. I don't want anyone to read a story where they think Techno isn't going to make it; I will never write a story containing that content.
I don't care if this is considered spoilers. Too many people comment thinking I'm going to kill off Techno, and I don't want anyone to experience that feeling of worry.
Another thing I regret is my portrayal of Technodad. Obviously, we knew nothing about him when this story was written, so I gave him a fake name (Mark) and made him a very cruel man. This is not an accurate reflection of real life (I never thought it was, just needed an antagonist. Real sorry about that one).
Pretty Face needs a rewrite. I want to do one someday. For now, please enjoy reading this fic with the knowledge that Technodad is a good man in real life and Techno doesn't die in this fic.
