My heart stops when I see my car explode. No no no no, this can't be happening.
I run towards my family but a bunch of idiots hold me back.
"NO, LET ME FUCKING GO. MY WIFE IS IN THERE."
But no matter how much I fight they won't let me go.
"Mate, look at it do you really think if someone was there they'll be alive?"
"No, she can't die."
I pushed them and ran towards the car trying to save her but I burnt my hands.
They're saying something but the buzzing in my ears won't allow me to listen but a sweet melodious voice reaches my ears.
I turned around and my pregnant wife stood there, okay, safe.
"Baby." I whisper.
"You burnt your hands. I was shouting but you wouldn't hear me."
She's safe. I went to cup her face but a burn in my hands made me wince.
"Baby??"
"We're fine."
"I was scared."
"I know."
She cupped my stubbled cheeks in her hands.
I checked her for any injuries. I kneel in front of her to check everything. She puts her hands on my shoulders.
"Everything is okay. We're okay."
I took her in my arms breathing hard and heavy, relieved that she's okay, kissing her bump and pressing my forehead against it.
"Daddy loves you two."
I stood up and took her in my arms properly.
"I would've died if something were to happen to you. I love you. Fuck, I love you so fucking much."
