Finding out more things about is slowly killing me but I am learning to accept everything about her.
"I'm not going!" Were the last words that continued to play on my mind. If its one thing that I know, if the council summons you, you cannot refuse.
"I'm not going!" She says, I blink my thoughts back as I turn to look at her.
I could see the desperation in her eyes, yet a sense of hope flickered with each blink. She didn't want to go, she knew she didn't have to but she also knew the obligation to her family if she didn't
"Sweetheart no one is making you go" Darius tells her as I pull her towards a chair to sit down and I stand behind it
"Well it feels like you are"
I shake my head "Babe no one is making you go, its your choice" I say to her before kissing the top of her head
"No its our choice now, because really wherever I go you go and wherever you go I go... Thats how this mate thing works right?" She says raising her eyebrows making me smile
The phone rings again and Samuel answers. Isabelle and I just stare into each others eyes. How I love getting lost in those beautiful blue eyes. The flutter of her eyelashes, the rosey colour forming on her cheeks as I stare at her lovingly taking every feature of her in as if it were to be my last.
"Isabelle" Samuel says snapping us out of our trance. We look over and see he is holding the receiver covering it with his hand "They wish to speak with you" I watch as she reluctantly takes the phone with a huff of frustration
"Hello Isabelle speaking" I watch her eyes as she downcasts them to watch the tapping of her foot "Yes I understand but Israel understood what he was getting into when they volunteered, that is his problem now... When a wolf finds his mate, that is law - no one has claim on he or she now but the wolf, you should know this yes of course I understand she is a wolf why else - wait who is it?" I caught Isabelle's eyes flicker to Samuel for a second "And so you tried explaining this to him - yes of course you did thats why he is requesting me... No I have a mate now and I am marked yes yes" I could feel her getting frustrated "You all knew once I was mated that I could no longer be of service" she sighed and looked to me "Alpha of the Crimson pack - " Her eyes had taken on anger as her eyes slowly blackened and she growled "NO I WILL NOT, with Devon after me I think I will be more at risk... Yes Israel will protect me of course but so can he" she looked lovingly at me for a split second as we watched her closely "Do not guilt trip me" This is a long conversation that I want to cut short, I can already hear the girls looking for their sister and the guys looking for us
As I look at the time, it was going on five o'clock and soon we will be heading to the pack house for her birthday party.
"Tell Israel he might change his mind, yes I will think it over, I will call you tomorrow with an answer ok" she hangs up, sighs and sinks into the chair in front of me.
Samuel raises an eyebrow at her questioning as she rubs the bridge of her nose
"Charlie found her mate and guess who it happens to be" she says looking at Samuel who is also shaking his head "Israel is pissed that a werewolf is his soul mate but he is more pissed off that she rejected him so he asked if I could go and help him get her back"
"He might not need you" Samuel says
I growl frustrated "Its ok baby" She places a hand over mine smiling "Of course when I mentioned Xavier they jumped at the chance for me to take him"
"Its an idea honey" I rub her shoulders gently causing her to moan involuntary at the contract and the motion of my hands.
"Its a bad one, have you ever travelled to the Fae realm?" She asks as I nod my head "Then you know how dangerous it is"
