One month later....
A month, a month it has been and Troy couldn't be an easier kid to look after. Isabelle said he is an easy kid to please and does the darnest things. She has been amazing. Watching the way she interacts with him and how he acts towards her, I couldn't wait to see her belly swell with the life she would bare that was ours. Everyone is completely under Troys spell, he is our son regardless of blood and if we were to start having children, I'm sure no one would look out for them better than Troy
We have been a little uneasy about this unfamiliar scent we've caught on our territory. Lily is spooked but can't see anything. I complained to Isabelle it only took them a couple of days to complete the mating process, for us it was just under a month, her reply
'Well... thats them'
Lily had finished putting a protective spell surrounding the territory but that took up a whole week of her time because of the vast space I have to take care of. I was immensely grateful
But that scent still lingered for seconds wherever we went
The door to my office flew open and Lily came rushing in with Nate following closely behind her
"Sorry Alpha I couldn't stop her" Nate says as Lily paces back and forth in his office muttering 'how could I have not seen?'
"Lily?" I ask. She was oblivious to me calling her name. She was in her own state of mind. Nate looked worried "Whats happening with her?" I direct my question to Nate who shrugs
"He is already in the territory" Lily says snapping our attention back to her fully
"Fuck!" I growl "And she went out for a run"
"Where's Troy?" Nate asks
I started pacing up and down, trying to get a hold of Isabelle through our mind link 'Search everywhere for her' I command through the pack mind link. I could sense the guard and all the wolves I have under my authority shudder at my tone but they were furious that something could happen to their Luna
"He's with Blakes parents, Blake is on his way" I slam my hand into the wall "Melanie is with her" I growl again.
'ISABELLE!' I yell through our mind link 'Melanie' Using my soften tone I try to get through
'Xav! Blake! Help' Melanie finally breaks through and that is all it takes for me to shift into wolf and track my sister down
**MELANIE**
"I'm itching for a run and I'm sure you are too" I look to Isabelle who was putting plates away "I told Xavier we will be together and plus theres wolves on patrol so nothing should go wrong"
"It would be nice to have a little freedom even if there are a couple wolves out, I do need a run" she says smiling back at me "Lets go"
As soon as we stepped out the back door, we both had shifted. Me in my brown wolf and she in her grey. Running as fast as we could, feeling the wind through our fur and the dirt beneath our paws.
'It feels so good!' She yells
So many things were happening for us, Blake and I are having a baby and getting married, Xavier and Isabelle having a toddler to look after full time that wasn't even theirs.
How Isabelle deals with all the stuff that she has been through and keeps them all to herself is beyond me.
A snap of branches stops us in our tracks and suddenly we are surrounded by growls. Those growls did not sound friendly at all. I whimpered a little, I was terrified. Not for my sake but for the babies life. I couldn't lose the baby
