You were glad Teresa isn't dead. Sure. You were glad she was safe.
As you watched him carefully check her over, his hand on her head as he looked at her like she was the only person to exist though, you were brought crashing down into reality. Your love for him had and always will be unrequited. No matter how close you two are, the choice will always be her.
Thomas will never love you like that. He can't, and you have to accept that. You have to realize that you will never even be an option in his mind.
“You okay?”Fry asked, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder as he noticed your unusual silence. Pulling your gaze away from Thomas who was placing Teresa in his arms, you blinked away tears.
“I’m fine,”You choked out, your voice threatening to crack and give the truth away.
