EddieIt's been three weeks since I saved Amelia Buckley or should I say she saved me.
I have been bored out of my mind resting and doing physical therapy to get better from my injuries. On the other hand, Amelia is back at her old home that Buck had that's closer to my place. I heard from Chim that she has a brand new room and freaked out in a bad way.
Sometimes change isn't good for a girl who got kidnapped....
Chris still doesn't know what happened to her yet.
I haven't told her anything but Carla tried to explain to Chris that Amelia needed some alone time and he had a fit as any 13-year-old would do when your best friend is kidnapped and you don't know about it.
"Dad, can I see Amelia today?" Chris whines to me while I'm getting him cereal with my good arm.
I hated being in the wheelchair so much but Chris tried to cheer me up by decorating it with some of his old dinosaur stickers.
Thankfully, I'm using the crutches more now so that I can get my strength and independence back.
"I'll see what Buck says," I sigh since we still haven't been on our first date yet and he hasn't told me anything about his firefighting experience at LA Comic Con's building disaster.
We aren't ignoring each other, I'm respecting his time and space so that he can heal and take care of his daughter.
He has texted me once or twice a week so 6 times max but I understand he is with Amelia.
"Dad, what are you waiting for? Text him first. Don't wait for him to text you. I want to see Amelia," Chris whines to me for the 10th time this weekend.
Geez, teenagers.
"Okay. Okay. Eat your breakfast before it gets soggy," I walk out of the kitchen with my phone to ignore my teenager for a moment.
It's crazy that Chris is now a teenager. I feel like he has grown up so much since I was admitted to the hospital after saving Amelia Buckley.
Instead of texting Buck, I call him while I'm in the other room away from Chris.
