My alarm blares... again. Groaning, I snatch up my phone, looking at the time bleary-eyed. I groan again. I don't even get thirty minutes to get ready.
Quite literally, I roll out of bed, just catching myself before I crash to the ground. Thankfully, last night, I was smart enough to leave out an outfit for the day so I don't have to go digging through my bag.
Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I glance around the room and quickly notice Jisoo's absence. She's not in the room, and neither are any of her belongings. Before getting changed, I glance out of the bedroom and find the living area the same way. Of course, she would leave early. I'm not sure If I'm hoping or dreading to see her downstairs.
As quickly as I can manage, I slip into my clothes for the day: a pair of shorts and a loose T-shirt. I'm going to be stuck in a car for most of the day, so there's no reason to dress up.
Once I've changed and double-checked that I have everything I need, I pull out my phone and dial Mingyu.
"Good morning," Mingyu answers, and I can hear his smile. "You okay?"
"Mhmm," I hum, snatching up a leftover granola bar that Jisoo likely bought while I was busy. "Are you downstairs yet? I don't want to go down if you aren't." I admit the thought before I've even realized it for myself. My cheeks heat at the realization of my frankness.
Mingyu chuckles. "Nope. I'm still packing."
"Oh." His not being downstairs somehow makes my embarrassment worse. "Sorry."
"No, no, don't be sorry. Once I'm done packing, I'll pick you up, and we can leave together."
"Yeah, that sounds good."
"Oh. Uhm, actually. We'd have to make a stop first." Mingyu almost sounds nervous. "I told S.Coups that I would pick up The8."
"Oh... Wasn't Vernon supposed to do that?" I fail to keep the disappointment from my voice.
There's a sigh on the other side of the phone. "Yeah. Something happened with him. I can ask someone else if you don-"
"No, it's fine." I shake off the feeling of disappointment. I'm planning on staying with Seventeen. It's about time I get used to Minghao. Plus, right now, Minghao is probably still drugged out and will sleep for most of the ride. At least, that's my hope.

It doesn't take long for Mingyu to show up in my room, toting a suitcase. I force down my laugh at his disheveled hair and a wrinkled shirt.
Even though I bury the laugh, my amusement must show itself because Mingyu rolls his eyes before stepping into the room. "I know I look like a mess. I didn't get enough sleep," He sighs.
"I don't think anyone did." His hair may look like a mess right now, but it looks fluffy, and I wish I were tall enough to run my fingers through it. I'm tempted to ask him what happened after I left last night, but after a thought, I don't think I even want to know. If it's important, someone will bring it up. Or it will come up the next time Jeonghan wants to cause drama.
"Is that really all you packed?" Mingyu raises an eye at my bag, smaller than his own.
I nod. "It's most of what I have." I shrug. "And some of the stuff is from Sana."
Mingyu shakes his head in response. "I'll have to take you on a shopping spree then," he says with a grin.
"You look oddly excited." Thinking back to any of my past boyfriends, none of them were ever interested in shopping. Of course, it never bothered me. It wasn't like I was making enough money to go fun shopping anyway.
