Chapter 62

Chapter 62: Unsolved Nightmares

CatNap would then get himself in a dark hallway again, surrounded by red mist that covers his feet and ankles. It doesn't seem to affect him.

“Wh-I'm here again?” He wondered, scared, “Why? Why is this still happening to me?”

CatNap looked around. Nothing was chasing him, at least for now. He gulped as he walked forward.

“Why am I still getting these dreams?” He wondered, “I've been through enough Hell throughout my life, yet here we are.”

CatNap then saw a corner leading to a huge children's playroom.

“What is this place?” He wondered, “Feels like one of those birthday parties I've attended as a kid…”

Then, CatNap heard a giggle as he turned behind him to see a miniature version of himself, busted up with cotton coming out from wherever it was cut and was crawling on all four as it was looking at him with a huge smile on its face. This scared the real CatNap.

“What the hell is that?!” He said, “Is that me?!”

CatNap then ran away from the plush version of himself. There, he went through obstacles of cubes and playground structures until he managed to hide behind a pillar in a corner. He looked back to see more plushies crawling around, only this time some of his friends: CraftyCorn, Bobby, and DogDay.

“There's even some of my friends…” He said, scared, “Why am I still suffering? This isn't even funny!”

CatNap then ran to find cover until he heard a voice.

“You…” The voice said, “Are you him?”

CatNap stopped walking as he heard the voice.

“Huh?” He wondered, “Who's there?”

CatNap then looked to his right to see a huge version of DogDay, but his arms were tied up and had no legs. He was shocked to see this version of DogDay.

“D-DogDay?!” CatNap said as he was about to cry,

“No… You're not him…” The other DogDay replied, “At least, not the one I know…”

“Wh-What the hell is going on?!”

“...You… You're still experiencing these horrible dreams, aren't you?”

“Y-Yes… I am… Why?”

“He's doing this… From your world, he's doing all of it… Just like the one in my world…”

“Who and what are you talking about?!”

“Oh no… They're coming! Get away from me!”

“Wai-Wait! What are you–”

Suddenly, multiple plushies of CatNap and his 7 other friends started crawling into the huge version of DogDay and eating his flesh out from the inside, scaring CatNap as he turned around to run away, but was blocked by more of the plushies as some of them jumped at him and knocked him down to the floor. Some of them were biting CatNap around him, causing him to scream in pain while struggling to free himself, but it was no use.

“GET OFF OF ME!” He shouted while squirming, “STOP IT!”

Then, more red smoke started to appear as a huge version of CatNap reappeared again in CatNap's nightmare, face-to-face with him.

“GAHHH! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!” He shouted at the monstrous CatNap roared at him to bite him in the face,

Then, a light shined as CatNap woke up from his bed, screaming in fear. He was sweating hard and breathing heavily. He looked around and noticed that he was in his bedroom. He then looked at his alarm clock as it said 7:01 AM on it. He then heard a knock on his door.

“CatNap?” DogDay's voice said from the other side, “Are you awake? I heard you screaming and I'm worried.”

“Come in…” CatNap said, softly,

DogDay opened the door as he saw CatNap slowly shedding tears.

“CatNap…” DogDay said as he went over to comfort him, “Did you have another bad dream?”

“I did…” CatNap replied while crying, “But why? Why am I still having these nightmares?! Not even stopping this whole Hour Of Joy a year ago didn't help!”

DogDay hugged CatNap to try and calm him down.

“It's ok…” He said, “I'm here…”

CatNap stopped sobbing as he heard DogDay's words, being, “I'm here…” He quietly gulped.

“Ok…” He then said, “Thanks…”

“Look, we'll find a way to solve these unsolved nightmares, together.” DogDay said, “For now, I think it's best to get yourself together first.”

CatNap sniffed.

“I will.” He said, “Thanks.”

DogDay left CatNap's room to leave him alone after patting him on the back with a smile. CatNap sighed heavily and with sorrow.

“The DogDay from the nightmare I've had…” He said, “What the hell was he talking about?”
