Chapter 111: The Worst Kind Of Hangover

Outside in the night, KickinChicken was still carrying a fainted CatNap on his shoulders, but he was getting tired.

“I…” KickinChicken said, struggling to not faint as well, “I have to… continue… but… shit… too… heavy…”

KickinChicken was looking down while huffing, puffing and walking until he heard a gasp.

“Huh?” He wondered,

KickinChicken looked up to see CraftyCorn and Bobby with a fainted DogDay over their arms. He was shocked to see them.

“I-Is it over?” He asked them,

“...For now.” CraftyCorn replied,

“Where's Hoppy's home?” Bobby asked KickinChicken,

“That's where I'm going, surprisingly…” KickinChicken replied, “Come on, I'll try and lead the way…”

Later, they were outside of Hoppy's house as she let them in, concerned as well. Bubba, PickyPiggy and Touille were also there and decided to help them out.

CatNap and DogDay were laid on Hoppy's couch in her living room. A fan was plugged in for air while they rested on soft pillows. They were tucked in with blankets and had bottles of water provided for them. Surprisingly, instead of waking up completely from their unconsciousness, they slept through the night after everyone besides Hoppy had left the place.

Morning then arrives the next day. CatNap slowly opened his eyes and groaned in pain.

“Fuck…” He said, “What the fuck just happened last night?”

CatNap then heard DogDay groaning as well as he slowly woke up as well.

“Shit…” DogDay said as he felt a pain in his head, “Oh God… This feels like a hangover… and I don't even drink since I'm too young for alcohol…”

“Oh, hey DogDay.” CatNap said,

“CatNap? Did you… defeat Simon?”

“I did… What about Jackie?”

“She's gone… I defeated her, but…”

DogDay groaned in pain.

“I guess the damage was also done to us.” He said,

CatNap chuckled, but then yawned.

“Yeah…” He said,

Hoppy shows up in the living room.

“Morning, sleepyheads.” She said,

“Oh, Hoppy?!” DogDay said, surprised, “Are we… in your home?”

“Yup.” Hoppy replied, “Basically… You guys passed out and some of us brought you over here.”

“Oh, that's a relief… but still… those powers I possessed in that charm…”

“Hey, you're not the only one to experience new shit in a duel, you know?” CatNap said,

Hoppy chuckled.

“Man, Crafty's right, you two are like brothers.” She said, “But, I'm not gonna drag it along anyways.”

Hoppy then opened the curtains to her front window.

“I'll give you two some light.” She said, “I'm making breakfast for all of us, including the other 5, so they'll be here in like 10 minutes. Take your time to… I don't know, situate?”

“Umm, thanks, Hoppy.” DogDay said,

“No worries.”

Hoppy then left the living room as CatNap then rubbed his eyes.

“Fuck me…” CatNap said, “This really does feel like a hangover, but… from the powers your charm possesses when your anger gets the best of you…”

“That's what your charm does, yeah?” DogDay wondered, “I think mine sorta activates when someone I am close to gets hurt… Like… very close?”

“Anyone close to you that caused it to happen?”

“...The only one I can think of is Crafty… During the duel against Jackie, it was me, her and Bobby as one team. One by one, they both disappeared after losing to Jackie and I guess CraftyCorn disappearing got to me…”

CatNap chuckled.

“Makes sense.” He said, “She is our little sister, after all.”

DogDay chuckled as well.

“True.” He said,

While DogDay stretched, CatNap looked outside and noticed something glowing black in the sky.

“What the hell?” He said, surprised,

“Hmm?” DogDay wondered as he turned to CatNap, “What's going on?”

The glowing black light in the sky disappeared, which caught CatNap's attention again.

“Something appeared!” He replied, “Outside and in the middle of the sky! And now it disappeared…”

“Huh…” DogDay said, “Weird…”

CatNap sighed.

“I'm exaggerating too much, I guess…” He said, “We do deserve a break from what just happened…”
