Chapter 116: College Days Upon Them

Throughout the rest of their summer, the critter crew were living their best lives together, in and out of their friend group as well.

Outside of it all, CatNap and Baba made sure that she and DogDay would make up, while Baba reconciled with her old friends. DogDay and Poppy made up and found love after all of it.

With everything going well, it seems that nothing bad will happen to the critter crew. And with college around the corner, their future is definitely theirs. However, only one of them didn't get the opportunity to go to the same college as his closest friends.

CatNap and DogDay were packing stuff up in their apartment for college, which is happening in a week. DogDay lets out a sad sigh.

“Still can't believe you weren't enrolled in the same college as all of us…” DogDay said,

“Can't always be lucky, unfortunately…” CatNap said,

“True… I mean, could you imagine studying college together? You, me, CraftyCorn, the rest of us…”

“Yeah, but… I guess Mongoose Miles University wanted me more than Sunshine Valley University, which is where you 7 are going…”

DogDay was putting some of his stuff away in a box.

“What's your dream job?” He asked him, “I know I want to be either a writer or an English teacher… CraftyCorn is already an artist, Bubba's eying on something related to math or science, or both. KickinChicken wants to be a public speaker, Hoppy wants to be an athlete, Bobby wants to be a nurse and PickyPiggy wants to be a chef and perhaps own a diner. …Do you have anything on your mind?”

CatNap looks up, thinking.

“I do want to be a radio show host.” He replied, “Music helps me calm down, so playing mostly alternative music could be what I want to do…”

“Hmm… Not bad.” DogDay said, “Maybe you could have some features that are related to that one radio show back then…”

“Yeah, I think I know what you're talking about. Like finding news on a monkey in the wild, interviewing a critter in a white van and having my thoughts on it… That kinda stuff, yeah?”

“Yes, yes, those…”

CatNap and DogDay share a laugh together before DogDay sadly sighed again.

“I'm gonna miss you, bro.” He said to CatNap, “We're all gonna miss you…”

“Hey, we'll be back between long breaks from classes.” CatNap said,

“True, but… It just… doesn't feel the same without you, or more importantly, it doesn't feel the same without one of us not around…”

“Yeah, I can see that…”

CatNap then went to his room to look at something.

“Wait a minute…” He said as he looked at his Deck, “Hey, DogDay!”

DogDay heard CatNap hollering as CatNap went over to DogDay to show him his Deck.

“...How about one more duel?” CatNap asked DogDay, “...For all time's sake?”

DogDay gasped as he then got somewhat emotional, but that didn't stop him from hugging CatNap.

“I would love to…” He said to CatNap, “One more duel for the memories…”

DogDay then wiped the tears from his eyes and got serious, in a playful manner.

“I accept your request for one more duel, CatNap!” He said, “Let me go get the others first!”

DogDay then went to his phone to call the others.

“Nice.” CatNap said with a smile, watching DogDay in a happy mood, tail wagging and everything, “This is all that I have for my brother, so I hope this works out well…”
