Chapter 104: Another Kidnapping?!

It was then late at night. Mayor Mira was walking home from work in the office. She always takes a long yet safe path home. That is, unfortunately, might be the last time her path to home might be considered safe.

“Another day in the office…” Mira said while looking around, “I really need to go to that magical spa tomorrow with my children. A little family vacation there is quite the treat.”

Then, Mira heard footsteps as she stopped and turned around.

“Huh, I couldn't swear I've heard something.” She said, “Oh well.”

Mira continued her walk home. That is, until a masked critter appeared out of thin air and in an alleyway, watching Mira.

“I got the mayor on sight.” The masked critter said on her walkie-talkie, “Want me to commence the operation?”

The masked critter disappeared after putting away her walkie-talkie to continue to follow Mira.

As Mira made a turn to a corner, the masked critter reappeared after climbing up a tree and watched her get to her house. She disappeared again as Mira made her way inside her home that she shared alone.

As Mira headed into her home, she opened up the lights to her living room and went to her couch to rest for a bit.

“What a walk.” She said, “Now, I just need to rest up before I take a nice shower and head to bed.”

Then, the lights to her living room were turned off on their own, which caught Mira's surprise.

“What the?” She wondered as she got up to turned them back on, but the switch didn't work, “That's odd…”

The masked critter appeared behind Mira and injected a syringe into her neck, causing Mira to pass out completely. The masked critter got out her walkie-talkie.

“I got Mira.” She said, “Poppy is next, yes?”

“Yes…” The statically voice replied, “Poppy Popgoes is the Poppy in this world's name… She's a white weasel critter with red hair and a blue dress full of bows…”

“So Poppy in another world is a doll while our Poppy is a mere weasel critter…”

“Find her for me. One of your colleagues will be waiting for Mira over your shoulder.”

Poppy meanwhile slid back from an attack with a Duel Disk in her arm. She was dueling someone in a gray hoodie.

“Whoever you are…” She said, “I will not let you take me alive!”

“Try and see.” The statically voice said,

Poppy had a serious look on her face.

“No matter what, my spotlight will never stop shining down on me!” She shouted as she draws to start her turn,

The masked critter with Mira meanwhile dragged her to a truck for another masked critter to put her in. The masked critter then went to an abandoned building where Poppy was dueling a critter in a dark grey hoodie and got out their walkie-talkie.

“I'm approaching the duel between the Doctor and Poppy Popgoes.” The masked critter said,

Back to the duel, two of Poppy's Abyss Actor monsters were destroyed as Poppy was launched near a wall and collapsed to the ground. Her Life Points were at 0 compared to the supposed Doctor's 4000 Life Points. Poppy was weakened, breathing heavily as she slowly looked at the supposed Doctor walking up to her.
