Chapter 113: The Reveal Of The Prince

The critter crew continued to float upward and towards the silver tower in the distance. They started to feel their movement again, once they landed on top of a roof of a building, staring at the front of the silver tower.

“Oh, sweet relief…” Bobby said, sitting on her knees, on the rooftop, “I don't want to go through that again…”

“But…” DogDay said as he and the others looked at the silver tower in front of them, “What is this tower? And why were we levitating near it?”

A giant TV slowly builds itself up for the critter crew to watch.

“Impressive…” Bubba said,

“This is insane…” Hoppy said, “...but… we're gonna have to get our answers through here, huh?”

The TV was finishing up building itself and started to turn on.

“Oh, it's starting!” PickyPiggy said,

Everyone was silent as the TV turned on fully, to reveal a dark yellow frog critter with a robotic mask on his face. He looked at the critter crew through the TV.

“Greetings…” He said in a voice that didn't suit him, “I have gathered you all here… Excellent…”

“You…” CatNap said, seriously, “Are you…”

CatNap clenched his teeth.

“Are you Prince Prototype?!” He shouted,

“Indeed I am…” Prince Prototype replied in a different voice, “You all must have heard about my origin and how I rose to the top for a better future in all of Crittopia.”

“This so-called better future of yours isn't better at all!” DogDay said,

“Right!” CraftyCorn said, “You're making our lives miserable!”

“...Unsatisfied with the results, I see…” Prince Prototype said, “Fair enough…”

CatNap raised a fist at Prince Prototype.

“Why are you doing this?!” He shouted, “There's gotta be a reason why you're doing all of this! From that prison break, to The Hour Of Joy, to whatever you had with the mind controlling shit! Just tell us why!”

Prince Prototype closes his eyes before revealing his giant robotic hands and 4 robotic pointy legs, supporting his already missing legs on him.

“I did it for you!” He shouted in response, while also in a different voice,

Everyone was surprised by Prince Prototype's response.

“Wh-What?” CatNap said, “Why? Why me, of all people?”

“Because I view you as something far greater than your regular appearance.” Prince Prototype replied in another voice,

“What are you talking about?!” DogDay shouted, “Why is he so important to you?!”

“...I've spoken to another Prototype.”

“Huh?” CatNap wondered,

“Yes… Another Prototype has existed outside of this… world we live in. And unlike myself, he is all machine… And you, in that universe, served him well. And as for your friends? You killed them all for not joining you to worship the Prototype in that world.”
