Chapter 94: CatNap Vs PickyPiggy II: Fixing Themselves, Part 1

It was a new day in Crittopia and for the critter crew, well, not really… Because pretty much, all of them need to fix themselves, or until they realize, they have to. Let's take a look at 2 of them, the first being CatNap and PickyPiggy.

PickyPiggy was sitting on a park bench, alone. She looked around and sorta sighed a bit. Then, someone walked up to her.

“Is that seat occupied?” He asked her,

PickyPiggy turned to CatNap, who was wearing his face mask.

“Oh, hey CatNap.” She said to her as she scoots over to one side of the bench, “Sure.”

CatNap sat next to PickyPiggy.

“Hey, how ya doing?” She asked CatNap,

“...Could have been worse, but…” CatNap replied, “I'm still slowly recovering.”

“Ya know you can… Take the mask off, right? It ain't like you're trying to put me to sleep or anything.”

CatNap chuckled as he took off his face mask.

“Just trying to be safe.” He said, “I mean, then again, I can control this red smoke of mine… But I feel like I'm afraid of letting it loose.”

“Don't worry about it.” PickyPiggy said as she smiled before sighing again, but in a saddened way,

“Huh? Are you… ok?”

“...Not really…”

“What's wrong?”

PickyPiggy sighed again.

“I kinda feel guilty.” She said,

“Guilty?” CatNap wondered, “Of what?”

“...Do you remember a year ago when I didn't put myself into that tournament?”

“Yeah, you didn't want to be part of the drama…”

“True, but… Looking back, I shouldn't have helped out in the first place… I feel like shit after focusing on myself rather than to help my close friends, including my soon to be girlfriend at the time…”

CatNap patted PickyPiggy on her left shoulder.

“You shouldn't talk down to yourself.” He said to her, “We understood why, but…”

“Look, I always pretend that everything's gonna be ok.” PickyPiggy said, “That's the truth that I always hurted myself with.”

“So you pretend to have a straight face?”

“Unfortunately…”

“I understood the frustration after losing a friend for a short period of time… We've all been through it all…”

“Yeah…”

“But look on the bright side, you've helped out in stopping The Hour Of Joy.”

“Heh heh, forgot about that… However, it is best to forget about it anyways…”

“That's true.”

PickyPiggy took a deep breath.

“I really gotta help out y'all a lot more in sticky situations like the ones we've gone through.” She said, “If I'm able to, to be exact.”
