Jimin
Five days until he could leave.
Jimin had been in the insane asylum the UC called their "reform" center for two weeks. It took around two and a half weeks for Aurora withdrawal to become manageable—a month for it to become almost unnoticeable—and Jin had convinced the UC to let Jimin out early for the sake of finishing the Ryujin mission.
Bayu had sent a formal request to tell the UC it was unacceptable treatment to throw Jimin in against his will when he wasn't even a UC citizen, and Bayu threatened the UC with public opinion. Yeah, Bayu was going to make a news article about it through SSNN, the largest network in the galaxy, to tattle on the UC and cause more outrage. With the constant riots and protests still taking place in New Atlantis following the Terrormorph landing pad assault all that time ago, the UC didn't want any further public backlash, so they agreed to let Jimin out early. He would be released at the "manageable" stage when the original plan was for him to be let out after a month. Yay.
But "manageable" didn't mean good.
Whimpers and whines left Jimin as he held his knees against his chest and rocked back and forth on the bed. Yet another instance of Aurora clouding him. It led to him needing a change of pants with vomit curling up in his throat until it spewed out of his chapped lips. His lungs felt like they had been bashed in by a metal pipe. Maybe that was what having asthma felt like.
