Jimin figured it was only a matter of time before they met again.
Before him stood the faceless assassin, holding his crew at gunpoint with a rifle Jimin hadn't seen before. It was as dark as the man's spacesuit with red glowing parts on the side. It almost looked like a sniper, but it had no scope.
"Park Jimin," the man said, his voice garbled by his helmet's filters. "Good to see you haven't died yet. Would've been unfortunate if I wasn't the one to do it."
Jimin drew his magshear forward and locked the laser grid onto the man, but he chuckled and jutted the muzzle of his weapon to the back of Jungkook's head.
"No!" Taehyung shouted, his wide eyes darting between Jungkook and Jimin. "Jimin, stop. Just do whatever he says."
Jimin knitted his brows. "Tae..."
Taehyung heaved and shook his head, gazing at Jimin. "I understand now, Jimin."
It was Jimin's turn to widen his eyes, and he ghosted his finger over the trigger, but he knew if he shot, the man would, too. He had armor that would resist the bullets. And that was without factoring in how Jungkook was in the line of fire. Magshears were known for their spread. One wrong shot, Jungkook was dead. Hell, one right shot, Jungkook was dead.
