Luke's P.O.V.

Hollie was testing her luck. It took all I had not to sweep her off of her feet and carry her over to my bed immediately. Her hands were expertly running through my hair whilst she tried to become my height. I slowly pressed on her lower back to get her to jump up so neither of us had to strain to reach the kiss and then led her over to the bed. I was so scared I was going to drop her because she was so fragile and perfect. I was able to see past her facade and I knew that she needed to be taken care off, but in the right way. I placed her down softly and crawled to the top of the bed where she met me again.

I was a player, someone who always took girls for granted and used and abused them - without ever hitting anyone- and I knew that; I knew Hollie knew I was. But when I was with her everything was different. I wasn't on the bed with her right now to get a bang or even to have the make-out session we were having currently; I was there because I just wanted her to feel safe, I wanted to spend time with her.

I felt her pull away and I did the same. She looked me in the eyes for a moment before a smile I had never seen before appeared.

"What?" I ask, unsure as to what she is looking and smiling at.

"Nothing I'm just happy that I'm here with you," She replied and I couldn't help but pull her even closer to me, feeling as if we were too far away even though she was barely an inch away. I smiled back and I suddenly understood. I was completely content right now with her here in front of me. I moved forwards and kissed her nose softly making her giggle. "You need to shave," She laughed. I scowled jokingly at her.

"I love my beard!" Pretending to be offended didn't get me anywhere because she laughed more and I forgot everything. Her presence surrounded me. Engulfed me.

"I don't doubt that but it doesn't feel the best on my face," She explained. I let out a loud huff to let her know that I was annoyed but I agreed. It was getting a little long.

"Can I keep it tonight?" I asked courageously and she shook her head, hard.

"Nope, I'll shave it myself if I have to Hemmings," She warned. I rolled my eyes and went to kiss her but she avoided me. I narrowed my eyes at her and she winked. Slowly I tightened my grip on her waist so she couldn't move away from facing me. She pushed against my interlocking hands but she knew she wasn't going to win, I was a lot stronger than her. I pressed my chin hard against her forehead and started to move it from side to side, rubbing my stubble on her skin. She screamed and squirmed underneath me, begging me to stop but I was finding it highly amusing.

"What was that? You want me to stop?" I questioned, my voice higher than usual as I mocked her. She pushed hard against my chest, momentarily winding me, before screaming louder into my ear. I flinched and finally let her go.

"I hate you! Ashton would never do anything like that to me!" She yelled. I felt the blood boil inside me as I heard her speak his name. Every time she said that one word I flashed to how much I loved her saying my name and how it sounded amazing and sexy but she used to do the same with his name, they used to be the same. Granted, they never put a label on it but it happened.

I always swore that I would never date a friend's ex but Hollie was so much different. Ashton knew I was intrigued by her from the beginning and he knew, even when I hated her, that I could get jealous. And the thought of her thinking about Ashton at a time like this made me want to scream.

But I couldn't and I wouldn't because I knew that she was over it. So I played it off.

"Oh really why don't you go and date him then huh?" I joked, smirking at her mock shocked face.
